- Dimash's friend, Kazakh figure skater Denis Ten, died today at the age of 25 after being stabbed by car thieves.
He was the 2014 Olympic bronze medalist, a two-time World medalist, the 2015 Four Continents champion, and a five-time national champion of Kazakhstan.
Dear friends in Kazakhstan, the world mourns with you.

Какие то бездарности, бесполезный биомусор, не достигшие в жизни ничего, паразитирующие за счет других, отняли жизнь достояния целой страны, Человека который своим тяжелым ежедневным трудом и упорством, силой духа, защищал честь страны, был ориентиром для молодежи, кумиром миллионов, да и просто хорошим, скромным, талантливым спортсменом. Такой чистый такой талантливый мальчик столько хотел в жизни сделать! И какие то подонки отняли у него жизнь,пишу и плачу ,я представляю что сейчас с родителями вырастить такое солнышко и потерять его а эти нелюди будут жить своей подлой жизнью. Такой умничка и бесконечный молодец. Нисколько не удивилась, когда Денис и Димаш подружились. Они такие похожие друг на друга, люди, посвятившие себя великому делу.

I'm in shock. I saw him skating in the Olympics he was wonderful. What a loss; My condolences go out to his family and to everyone who loved him as well as Kazakhstan.
This is such an unbelievable tragedy, we are all just devastated and heartbroken here in Almaty. Still can't believe it really happened to Denis.... we are so sorry He couldnt be safe in his own hometown..honestly, i personally am still in shock and in tears. He loved Kazakhstan so much despite...so many things that were not always fair when it came to Him and figure skating. He was the only hope for our figure skating aspirations and besides that as we all know- an amazing, amazing person. His beautiful, kind heart , his unique sense of humour and creativity, talent...

I'm so shocked. This is so sad. He was one of my favorite skaters. I just don't even know what to say. I hope they find the killer soon. Omg this is so shocking. Why would someone do this terrible thing and destroy a family. He has a family. Im so sorry to the family i will keep everyone in my prayers.

As a figure skater, I always found Denis's goal of showing Kazakhstan to the world beautiful. To know the joy in his heart after winning bronze and seeing that Kazakh flag beside his name, it made me so happy. With the rest of the figure skating community, we mourn together. To all the Dimash fans being there in this time, I am entirely grateful. A perfect song to honour his memory. Thank you Gloria.

I can't believe it... Some months ago, I was waking up at 2Am for watching him in the Olympic Games... He did a good performance, and we know that he had a problem in his leg.... He was always smiling, whatever happened...
On the ice, he seemed like he was flying. Yeah, sure, he was born for that...
I didn't deserve what happened ! Life is so mean... He was a talentuous, amazing and adorable young man who had an all life to live whith happiness and victory !
I can't describe my sadness. For me, he was this guy who give me the love for ice skating and he since that I was always supporting him, because for me, he is and he will stay the best....
There aren't beautiful words, just the truth and what I wanted to say, when I knew about his flying to Haven...
God will protect him now 🙏 we mustn't be worried about that.

Very sad indeed. I know him through Dimash Kudaibergen. I have never met him, but seen his graceful skating numerous times, mostly to Dimash’ S.O.S song. Though never meeting him nor knowing him personally , I am very saddened by what happened. This world lost another excellent human being. My deepest condolence to his family & friends

He was the only hope for our figure skating aspirations and besides that as we all know- an amazing, amazing person. His beautiful, kind heart , his unique sense of humour and creativity, talent... having always been a fan of his figure skating talent and personality in general...i dont even know how to concentrate on anything now. time will pass, it will maybe get easier to think of Denis using a past tense but the pain will never go away. so sorry. so so sorry. all we can do now.. is try to follow Denis's philosophy of living a life which always included aspects of being kind to each other, of treating each other with respect, of treating our Planet better, of always trying to do things that scare(and excite) us/to risk for the sake of living a more interesting life.. so many thoughts.. but i'll stop now. just... too hard.
