Did this backpacking trip in late august. Hiked the incredible cirque of the towers loop over texas pass and jackass pass with incredible views of wolfs head. Camped at Dads lake on night 1, Shadow lake on night 2, lonesome lake (climbers camp) on night 3. You will pass by a number of lakes including Barren lake, Mirror lake, Marms lake, Shadow lake, Billys lake, Texas lake, Lonesome lake, Arrowhead lake, North lake and Big Sandy lake. Just amazing hiking in the remote backcountry of Wyoming. We were fortunate enough to catch a couple dozen brook and cutthroat trout, see countless wildflowers and see a bald eagle as well as big horn sheep. Comparable to Grand Teton National Park.
The Wind River Range, where mosquitos will swim in a pool of deet. Not kidding, I actually saw it. You could not keep them off of you.

Incredibly beautiful. Parts of the winds are EXTREMELY remote with crazy solitude. Others like this hike are quite crowded. But, if you’re willing to go to the lakes without the glitz and glamor you can still find relative solitude.
@@TheOutdoorGypsy It's become very crowded over the years due to videos like this. The trailhead now resembles that of a rock concert.
It takes longer to get to the Cirque, but go in from the Lander side. Much less crowded until you get the around the Cirque of the towers/Lizard Head .

Music is good but when i watch this kind of videos I really like to hear the ambient noise it's much better than any music just sayin

Great video! How did you like this loop compared to the Teton Crest? We did the Crest a couple years ago and loved it and has been contemplating the Winds vs. the Sawtooths for our next backpacking trip. What are your thoughts! Keep up the great content. Thanks!
Thank ya. I have a slight bias towards the Teton crest trail. Not by much but a little. They’re both AMAZING hikes. Believe it or not I found less people on the Teton trail than the cirque due to the permits limiting people and the camping areas are ever so slightly better. Funny you mention the sawtooth. I will be doing that in 7 weeks. Maybe I’ll see ya there.
