what i like about this scene is that leon knew that franklin wasn’t really being himself, he was being taken over by greed, anger and the pain of loss, he still decided to be his best friend and brother.
I would’ve gave him a third of what I had, 2 mill could still keep the operation going plus got Franklin a job managing the shelter for hella money a week, could’ve done more and made him get clean, idk this felt like bad writing. Smartest thing LEON ever did other than marrying Wanda…not giving him another dime. This episode had so many dope shots. Easily one of the best episodes of the entire series from a cinematography standpoint. Maybe THE best.
Especially the last scene where franklin was walking away from Leon. The background behind Franklin was blurry maybe representing leaving that old life style in the past or being lost in where he’s at.

This is what's called "letting your mask slip". Franklin pure evil, the fact he celebrated when Leon told him he had 3 mil and automatically assumed he is owned that little amount of money he gave to leon (franklin has 73 mil and leon only had 3, so he gave him a less than 10% cut) is insane. Dude is one of the best villains ever written

Just like in real life. People are only as loyal as they need to be. Franklin treated leon like a brother, saved his life and kept him fed. Even when he could have died for it. Saint is the only real one here. Driven to madness by trying to keep everyone safe, and make everyones life better. And in the end, no one would do the same for him. Its actually very sad. He gave everyone what they wanted and paid the ultimate price.

I think Franklin was on that rock too. They never said it, but it’s heavily implied, especially the way he looked in the last scene. I’ve never seen an alcoholic strung out that bad after making millions.
He was drinking extremely and tbf he lost 73mill and had a chance of getting 37mill but his mum ruined his last hope and his baby mother left him and stole the rest of his money
Even though Franklin has lost it at this point Cissy didn't really save him she could have waited a bit longer for the password to go through and then have deleted him. She was short-sighted in her thinking and acted irrationally but Frainklin either way would have destroyed himself because greed has consumed him. Franklin either way was doom if he had gotten the money or not.
Fwiw, I read an interview with the Snowfall showrunner. He said that even if Cissy had not shot Teddy, the CIA was never letting Franklin keep that money -- either that or Teddy would have killed all the Saints and recovered the money again.
Another unexplored storyline was that Teddy was about to get popped by the DEA. Franklin knew that and should have been wary of getting that $37 million transfer, because it would have pulled Franklin into the investigation into Teddy's drug business when Franklin was already in the clear. I wrote this in a comment to another video, and someone responded that the writers had to ignore that storyline, because it was too close to what happened to the real Rick Ross.
Teddy would've gave Franklin a good year to enjoy that money,then he would've came and chopped him like he did Alton

When Cissy shot Teddy, Franklin still had the South Central buildings and the Spring Street property. Franklin had invested more than $10 million in the Spring Street property, and the solution was to sell at a loss to recoup some of that investment. Franklin being delusional and refusing to sell was why Veronique had to take all the proceeds from the South Central buildings, and actually, Franklin could have still sold the Spring Street property even after Veronique left.
Franklin had lost his marbles. He refused to sell the Spring Street property, but at the same time, he went to Monrovia thinking he could get some of his money back from Peaches.
A Teddy was dead Franklin should taken the money what he got from the South Central properties and left L.A with his family.
