First of all zeybeck is not a Turkish word. It is an ottoman word that the ottomans used to Greek tribes and dances. Turk has nothing to do with language at all. The term originate in Thrace and the Aegean area of turkey. Therefore it came from the Greeks to transferred into you ottoman language

My friend this dance is from achient Thrace taken by zeibeks and went back to Hellas 1922 after the disaster
