TPH lets the rare Oxford Synthesiser Company OSCar loose on Telekom Electronic Beats TV. Produced in the 80s this distinct looking synth featured duophonic capabilities across digital oscillators, analog filters, and some had full MIDI capability. Once heard, you'll quickly realise why it was a favourite for the likes of Ultravox and a heap more.

I own quite a bit of old analogue kit... But one thing where the OSCar trumps most of my old vintage synths (besides its signature sound) and not ever really mentioned, is the way the pots feel...
eg. The Filter cutoff and Res feel and respond totally different to the ENV knobs...They just have the perfect weight/resistance...
It really is a work of art.

Thanks for the video I owned an OSCar, paid £199 from McCormacks in Glasgow 85ish it had midi so a later model. It is the only synth to get me sacked from a band as it's lead sounds could overpower any guitar player. My one was not very stable and would cut out and had a bad earth hum. I sold OSCar in the early 90s using the little cash I got for it to part fun a Roland U110 😢 wish I had the OSC today.

Little known fact about the Oscar is that some of the white coloured sections of the Oscsr are made from guttering.
