It’s not that Utah is bad, I just think every team in this division is trending upwards maybe besides Winnipeg, they could make playoffs and it wouldn’t surprise me, but if they missed it wouldn’t be surprising either, they are on the line
It kinda feels like the Preds will have a great season but depart the playoffs early. I think, off the top of my head, teams that sorta throw a bunch of high talent players together suffer this fate. The Rangers have been subject to this over the years, for example.
1) Dallas 2) Colorado 3) Nashville 4) Minnesota 5) Chicago 6) Utah 7) Winnipeg 8) St. Louis I'm being controversial... But, I think Winnipeg and St Louis fall very hard.

I think Utah will surprise. I like them better than Minny and the Blues. I just think their overall depth is better. If Ingram can have a solid season, I got them as 4th in the Central, and grabbing a wild card spot. Speaking of Colorado, and their questionable depth up front. I'm not hearing a lot about Kovalenko. Is he playing in the top 6 not make him a potential DARK HORSE for the Calder?
They acquired two 30+ goal scorers and a top pairing defenseman, I think saying they will go from a playoff team to a better playoff team is a fairly warm take
I think people are just excited. Don't get me wrong I am rooting for this team but let's not put unrealistic expectations on them when they are a fringe wild card team at best
Coyotes were 5th (WC2) in the central until February last season when they went on a 15 game losing streak, sparked by the players finding out they were possibly going to be moving. The team scored the most goals per season in all of Coyote's history. That same young forward lineup is coming back a year older, with 3 new top 4 defensemen to help them out. There are plenty of logical reasons to be optimistic about this team next season.
I think Utah got better but let’s not get ahead of ourselves, St Louis has a great top 6 and Binnington was actually solid last year, there’s a chance Utah will finish ahead of them but having the blues above isn’t a wild take
Agreed. Utah will also be riding that "fresh start high". The entire team gets a fresh start, leaving behind a total nightmare. There's no way the don't have a decent season.
That’s a bit of an aggressive take, Wild have a good team, maybe they won’t make the playoffs but the team has a lot of promise and should be in the hunt for one of the final spots
I’m gonna miss the coyotes jersey and the logo😢
Stars and Avs are the class of this division until someone else proves otherwise.
Justus Annunen becomes Avs starting goalie this season mark my words
nah, as a Avs fan, what will likely happen is he starts more games, giving Georgiev some much needed rest.
@@CamGoldberg that is a hell of a lot more reasonable then saying he will become the backup lol.
Way too low for Utah, imo. And too high for the Predators.

Chicago is very very high and Winnipeg is way to low, they had 110 points they aren’t going to be 7th
