From oregon here, enjoy your videos and very informative. I just really got into salmon Fishing this year. Learning from your videos, i appreciate the jig tieing as i loose a bunch but live fishing them. Keep up the good work!
Just found your channel. I'm a fan of twitching jigs and also make my own. My go to jig is also the blue head, pink body with red collar. The powder paint I use is Disco Blue, and then thin red yarn for the collars. As you know no color works 100% of the time, but this color is what I always start with. Tight lines!!
Awesome jigs you made Better than jigs sold in tackle shop I followed your channel for long time I learned a lot from you Thanks Bottle Maybe one day see you by the river
Great video! Man, that jig looks great! What would you say is the best advantage of making your own? Is it cost? Or is it that you try different colours and adjust your jigs to what works on each river? Kudos to your content!
@jorgemartinez-compains8369 cost for sure. Also, the popular colors are often sold out. The pattern I did in the video I've never seen for sale. I like to mix things up. Also, I never have to worry about buying jigs if it's late at night, and I decide to fish in the morning.

@@FishingWithBottles Yeah, I thought so. Man, you are tempting me to start trying to make my own lol. Great video and thanks for your content!
@@FishingWithBottles You convinced me. I am going to start making my own. Quick q: where did you get your fly tying vise? Hatch matcher you said?
@jorgemartinez-compains8369 yes hatch matcher. Most places carry them but they were cheapest.
Looks neat! How many failed attempts did it take you to get hold of it?
Can catch fish with the first one I made, but now they're better, thicker, and I can make em a lot faster. After 10 jigs, you get the hang of it.
Thank you for the video!! What size jig hook size do you recommend to get?
3/8oz is what I use most; 1/4oz I really like for the smaller rivers that ain't too deep. Faster deeper waters I'll go 1/2oz.
Does the feathers ever come loose and if so how long does it usually take until they fall off
@FreshWaterFishingKing not an issue. l dont think I've ever lost feathers.
