The success in this for PayPal will depend on their success as an on/off ramp for all of crypto (ie being a successful crypto exchange). The main function of stable coins is for use in trading in/out of the larger crypto market... don't see this changing any time soon. If you have an extra fee with PayPal as the intermediary between your fiat and your chosen exchange, who will use them? If they are going to succeed long term with this they need to become the next Coinbase!
