There is no higher power in this world than the one represented by the church building, and I believe that down to my core. The feeling that’s left after watching the music video of Big Brother is how I, being just a distant observer, having met mothers and children directly impacted by the the destrucion, imagine a war conflict feels like. The war is wrong, the war is cruel and the war is cold. The action of evil - me having a smoke in a sacred environment, represents just that.
In these times, but also so often in the history of humanity, we simply sit and wait. We wait for somebody to take action. We wait for a higher power to solve the things we should have taken responsibility for by ourselves. While we sit at holy places, naively thinking we’re the closest to Him, yet the truth is that our place should be amid the suffering in this mundane world. Yet we rather choose to bring the chair right in front of the altar and simply sit and remain seated, doing nothing. We wait and we let the time pass, while the time is short and every second of our action could have saved a life of a person, a mother, a child. We do the wrong.
To point this message out, we shot this video. To have the message come across, I wrote the song. I wish to take some action.
I hope the message of the visual part of Big Brother is a bit clearer to you now. Peace, world-wide!

Big Brother is quite the tune. Sad and contemplative, Sona wrote this piece in response to Putin's invasion of neighboring Ukraine.

Milá Soňa, Tomáš a Gabika, fajčiť v kostole je otrasné, mať vyložené nohy na knihách je arogantné a správať sa kostole ako modelka je až bohoruhacstvo. Vy to dobre viete, a myslím, že práve preto ste natočili video, ktoré človeka veľmi vyrušuje. Ak som správne pochopil váš zámer, chceli ste týmto (a aj celou piesňou) poukázať, aká arogantná, otrasná a bezbozna je vojna, ktorú vedie putinovske Rusko proti ubiedenej ale statočnej Ukrajine. Rusko koná tak ako Soňa v tom videoklipe, aspoň tak si to vysvetľujem podľa porozumenia textu. Čítal som stanovisko predsedníctva nášho cirkevného zboru, ja sa s ním nestotožňujem. Váš zámer som nepochopil tak, že chcete znesvatit náš kostol, ale práve ste chceli poukázať na obrovskú bolesť a neprávosť, ktorá sa deje na Ukrajine. Vážim si to a aj všetko čo najmä Tomáš a jeho priatelia spravili pre Ukrajincou v Turci. Tento váš hudobný a vizuálny počin oceňujem a vždy sa budem tešiť v nedeľu do kostola, lebo práve vtedy je čas na stretnutie sa tam s Božím slovom a jeho prítomnosťou. Ostáva mi len otázka, že či by sme vám ako presbyterstvo nedovolili natočiť takýto videoklip, keby sme o tom dopredu vedeli. Odpoveď na túto otázku je ťažká a možno aj trochu úsmevná. Možno ste to jednoducho natočili, tak .... po rusky, bez zdĺhavých jednaní a poďme na to: Hurá. Vďaka, aj keď to bude náročné, najmä na Ukrajine.

👏Ľubo, skvele si to napísal. Vnímam to tak, že nie všetci pochopili súvislosť s vojnou. Nie je to (a to je tá najväčšia škoda) z tej piesne zrejmé. To sa občas stane, keď ide o umeleckosť a trochu sa opomenie, či je komunikovanie posolstva jasné. Každopádne podstatný je dobrý úmysel. A veľmi smutné je čiernobiele videnie oficiálnej cirkvi. Lutherova farebná ruža v našej cirkvi už žiaľ storočiami vybledla, asi sú to už len 2 odtiene šedej žiaľ. Chvalabohu jadro cirkvi tvoria ľudia, nielen oficiálne štruktúry ;) Sláva Ukrajine!
