Listening to the song again, that wasn't a cut! You can keep counting 1-2-3-4 perfectly through it. The "hit" just occurs an eighth note early. With the amount of detail that Snail's House puts into their work, I'd bet it's meant to be iconic to the song~

I thought this song was really sweet, just had that lighthearted tone embedded in each note played. When combined it sounds so...what's the right word...hm...I guess sweet would have to suffice because I can't think of nothing else to describe this superb arrangement

awesome midi roll! as a critique or suggestion, try taking out the 3 or 5 in those big/low end chords where needed to regain some stability and clarity of the intervals. there's no need to reharm the whole song, but some 9 and 11 extended chord voicing in the exposition parts would work wonders with ujico's jazzy style
