      Thank you Peggy! I also had a video where I put a nest and eggs on top of a bed spring. It sold in my last craft show. One of the first things to go. I want to make another one of them.

    Oh my goodness, I love your cow. It’s darling, cute as can be. You did a great job on it. Also the crow. Really like the idea you used it in a bed spring.
    Well I tried doing the vinegar n 4/o’s of steel wool n it didn’t work. All I got was rust floating at the top. So I went to look at the vinegar I bought n son-of-gun I bought distilled vinegar, I’m sure that’s why mine turned to rust.
    ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟

      @@shellydehart8217 I would think that would be ok. Maybe try putting in some wood to see what it does.

      You better get busy using the bed springs. Not doing you a bit of good in a tub...lol If you do some, send me a pic.

    Hi Sandy, I did the same thing with the crows. The first one I got glued and oh boy! So I didn't have a sewing machine ( I got one for Christmas 😄) I hand stitched 6 of them. Yes it took some time but so much better. I eye balled the pattern and it looked almost exactly like yours!

      @sandyscountrycrafts  9 місяців тому +1

      I have learned to draw my pattern and then sew on the lines. Turns out way better. The ones I glued didn't even look like crows. 😆 I don't mind hand stitching. If I didn't have a machine I would have done what you did too!

    I am new to your channel. I really enjoyed your creations. I giggled when you had the kurfruffle with your crow.. I have been there. Lol. I am going to try your technique you used to make texture. I usually just use muslin and paint it and I get that crunchy effect. I use alot of paper sacks / brown paper lunch bags. You wouldnt even know it was a paper bag after. I am going to be binge watching your videos. ❤❤

      That crow gave me fits but I got it done… lol. I have used brown paper too! You are right, you would never know that’s what it was.

    Love these Sandy! I’ve been wanting to make something similar with my old bed springs, yours look fantastic! Do you put anything on your spring to seal them because of the rust? I love crows there so perfect for our primitive decorating❤I love the crunchy flower.great idea for the tag. It’s absolutely adorable Sandy!! Love the cute little cow. I’m gonna have to try and make some of that steel wool stain. Great ideas! Thanks for sharing ❤Xx

      Thanks Melanie! I just wipe my springs down. They appear more rusty than they are. I just wipe mine down.

    How do you make steel wool mixture

    • @sandyscountrycrafts
      @sandyscountrycrafts  Рік тому +1

      You just take a jar, drop in a fine steel wool, fill up with white vinegar and let it sit until it turns a rusty color and it’s ready to go. Then after you achieve the color remove the steel wool. I got my last batch too dark but just added more vinegar.
