@@iambravvo that cant really be said as we have not seen or played both titles lol but its easy to predict GTa will outsell and be more popular then MH !
As much as I think Capcom and the Monster Hunter team might deserve it, it feels like it'll be impossible for it to win in 2025. The most important factor for a game to win game of the year is popularity and unfortunately with Grand Theft Auto 6 scheduled for next year, it'll be impossible for any other game to beat it in popularity. Even if Rockstar were to completely shit the bed like they have shown lately and the game is underwhelming, it won't matter. The herd of people that play Rockstar games, GTA games has only ballooned in recent years with GTA RP's success. My personal expectation is that GTA 6 will be a middling story in a very high resolution city with very little in the way of truly interesting content, much the same that it was with GTA 5. MH:Wilds will most likely push MH ahead yet again with map size, monster count and diversity of monsters, weapons and combos. Those are my expectations.
The Game Awards also tend to value story and uniqueness highly which GTA 6 will be huge but I don’t see it straying far enough away from GTA 5 for it win. We saw this issue with Tears of The Kingdom. Amazing game but it just takes the breath of the wild core and expands upon it which wilds looks to do even more then just expand on world since it focusing more on the cinematic moments and story
@@SheionVIDS I'm personally of the opinion that GTA 5 isn't even that great by modern standards but more so that it was good for the time it was released and that's one of the bigger reasons for why I think GTA 6 won't deserve GOTY. Rockstar are most likely to stick very close to GTA 5 forgetting that GTA 5 is quite an old game by now. As another example, I'm also incredibly worried for The Elder Scrolls 6, whenever that comes out, as Bethesda is another company that loves to stick close to what worked. Skyrim isn't very good either but did incredibly well when it released. TES 6 most likely will just be Skyrim 2.0 but with better graphics as I can't imagine them updating the combat (the same combat they've had since at least TES 3...) or other qualities of the game.
My counter argument is PC release if PC release is 2026 or after a HUGE chunk of gamers won't vote for it also the game might get overhyped and fans might be disappointed
@@SheionVIDS I'm not saying I'm not excited for it. I even pre-ordered that PC case in anticipation of the game. But to immediately say "ITS GAME OF THE YEAR" is ridiculous when it hasn't even launched yet, no matter how true it may be.
Love the editing
you deserve way more views, good video!!
Pretty good video❤️
good job bro
Nah i am 100% sure it wont get game of the year ! its against GTA 6 !
I will rig the vote
with a PC release in 2026? PC gamers won't vote for GTA 6 probably
@@ahmadbugshan9603 PC gamers dont drive the market
It’s better than gta6 tho

Considering it hasnt even released and we've seen very little, i can only disagree. This is pure nonsense from a fanboy.
