most of the students are rely on coaching notes not on standard textbooks, amit sir mentioned many times to refer standard books..can you please tell us standard books for different subjects because some of the books are filled with mistakes and wrong questions

Mere concepts utne acche nahi hai, par mein made easy ki classroom program bhi join nahi kar Sakta, kyunki woh bahut hi expensive hai mere liye. So mein soch raha tha ki job ke saath saath preparation karoon with the made easy postal books. Can you tell me if it would be the right path to follow.
Sanjaykumar Sahu madeeasy theory books aren’t that great. Instead try to follow textbooks and you can get class notes to see what all to study from books

Is it possible to prepare for GATE only for PSUs during M TECH ? I have cleared gate this yr with 3779 rank. I belong to farmer's family. I worked hard this yr but not gate enough rank. Shall I get placement in after M TECH in NITs with 40k? I am electrical engineering student pass out 2017. Please suggest me.

Hey there is no need to follow a very strict routine. Just follow a normal routine. And studied around 5-6 hours average a day...but that depends on the time frame...if January it may be 7-8 hours also
Hello guys. I am from mechanical branch & currently 4th Yr in b.trch. I appeared fr gate 18 in ME & my rank is 8K. Should I try for interdisciplinary branches in any of IITs? Is it worth doing M.tech in interdisciplinary branches in IITs like Nanotechnology Hydro energy etc? pls tell me.
Hey only take these branches if you have interest in that topic....only thennnn....otherwise a big no...dont take that branch just for sake of doing mtech

Sir how u manage gym and study both and when did u go to the gym in the morning or evening as I m also addicted to the gym but at the same time thinking of giving full time to study for gate 2019.so plz tell me your gym routine along with diet and study bcoz u seems to be my perfect ideal as I was thinking of doing this but unfortunately didn't able to get good rank this time but really glad to see such performance of my style.so sir if possible advice me whether to got for light workout or heavy work out along with baba level of study for gate 2019...a much needed advice for me...
I'm bit old live in Boston area for last 15 years. Couple of comments about Amit and in general to all students.
Amit : You kind of remind me one of my table tennis club mate David Alfonso. He has done mechanical engineering
also from MIT, and US Olympic team member in sailing (solo). His grasp of engineering is not sharp but progressive.
He was working on a liquid engine concept during his internship for firm makes warplanes for USA.
Every time I visit Harvard, MIT, BU , Princeton which are kind of in my neighboring township I just feel the serenity of knowledge.
Why all of you did not try MS in US top univs? If you had done MS in USA would not have thought of keep exploring with careers.
IES,IAR is great job , great talents gets in. But can guarantee you , will regret after 10 years why did I join. eventually you become a corrupt officer. Student's in IITs are great in academics but education and atmosphere is not at the highest standard. None of IITs make it to top 100.
Having said that I loved your friendship. Monkey Donkey and the man.
Amit: One advise. You can be a great inspiration to youth. I did not say students or IIT aspirants. Education is just not to be great in achieving top ranks but also be good in every aspect of life.
In Indian context after age 27 life and fun kind of stops whether you are IES, IAS or anything. Njoy the youth , give your best once . Then work on it to shape up you career. I hate students dropping after 12th then graduation then after post graduation.
then after job. Not to offend, just a positive criticism. I want all students like David Afonso if not at least like Amit

and yes i agree companies in india scrutinise stuents very deep compared to usa..

society. Caste system is not only prevailed in India. In western civilizations as well. Many of examples such as
Goldsmith, Potter, Weaver, Gardener these are the surnames. In india its missused.
I know IAS , IPS , IES officers want the tag Angya, Babu Sir otherwise they feel insulted. I'm having very bad experience in
settiong up my offshore company in Bhubaneswar fo last 4 years. They dont care, and never respond to your questions.

Yes, making financial arrangements be bit difficult to join a US university or school. But you are not gonna have difficulties
paying it off. Once you are in USA there is solution for everything. Become a tutor at KUMON or work at Starbucks.
Indian banking system has been pathetic in availing students Loan. But seems new Govt is trying to improve the system. If someone has good SAT, GMAT, GRE score banks should assist.
Also there are associations in USA formed by Indian-Americans we sponsor few students. You can reach out to them. Some can volunteer
to become guarantor.

Though I would like to advise think of coming to USA for study only into top universities. the new VISA rules kind of making life though.

What amount did you get after it mtech from iisc for mechanical??
Mujhe jaan hai ki coaching me kis type se guide Kiya jata hai or after gate what we choose, m tech, psu, or iisc,
ANIME storY all iisc is for masters i.e Mtech wat we have in IIT. So joining PSU and doing Mtech is purely yiour choice. If u want to got for highe studies like phd then mtech is good

Hello sir, i am iit student from mechanical and now i am 3'rd year student. I tried to study my core subject at that time but due to interest i studied deeply and i end up with only 20-30% core syllabus completed. I have not followed any text book yet. And coaching facilities are not available in my area.
So, i want to say that i am feeling having incomplete knowledge of core courses.
What should i do in this situation.

Noman Danish preparing for ESE to make gate easier doesn’t make sense. Focus on what you wanna do and prepare accordingly

In 2015 GE gave the package of 7.5 Lakh In IITS n IISC....I know it because I am from IITM and my friend Vinod AIR1 Gate 2013 is from IISC....He is also working in GE.

shaurya baghel see no one knows you better than yourself..if you think you can do it..then you can quit and there’s no point in just thinking and delaying. And all it takes is just an year. Master’s from IITs is worth it. The atmosphere there certainly inspires you and you’ll meet good friends there and you’ll grow as a person. Plus job prospects will improve.

My main target is to get into PSU..I have never been answered this question that how much minimum gate score in 100 should I get to get a job in PSU...plz reply
GATE score varies from year to year and depends on many factors like number of students appearing that year and paper toughness....but yes rank wise within 500 should be there for general category......it's a bit tough for above 500 to get into good PSU
