Gosh, come back to Ft Myers, I enjoyed your trip.
Thanks so much - that's our plan 😎
Coolest video I've seen of u guys. I'm just discovering your channel though as of the other day.
Thanks so much Anthony! So glad you found us. More to come...
@@OLOH You're welcome. Thanks for the reply! :))
The current on the Hudson can get crazy strong,I should have wrote this 3 years ago
I agree about your statement on West Point. It's amazing especially from the water. Bannermann's Island is pretty amazing too!
3:50 that is a tight shirt.
Love your channel. Informative and inspiring. Where do you get your personalized OHLO clothing?
Thanks Richard - we really appreciate that! Unfortunately we cannot recommend the vendor we used for our OLOH gear. While we love the quality of the shirts, we were not satisfied with the job they did. We are still on the hunt for a new vendor who works with the specific shirts and hats we love. All of our art work is custom designed by the Admiral.
Such a great video! Thank you for Sharing
Thanks Dillon! So glad you enjoyed it. More coming soon...
Love your channel so far!!! Keep up the good content!
Thanks A.J.! More on the way...
I like the blue tee shirt you’re wearing in this video.do you have a merchandise store?
Hi Doug. Not yet but we've been getting a lot of inquiries about that so it may be coming soon. Cheers!
Great video, safe travels!
Thanks Dan. Cheers!
So glad to see a "trawler " based channel. Nothing wrong with sailboats but that's all the rage. Gulfstar44 M/Y
Thanks Michael. We're happy to share the love!
3:42 is a beautiful day! (While it’s raining
Your video is an amazing sight to see, and your sea cruising adventure is a delight. I appreciate the narrative of your passage. I've never seen West Point , so your perspective was terrific. I've also never seen a dock line braided the way your running end is; what is that called? Continued fun and good adventures. I look forward to future postings.
Thanks so much for the kind words - we really appreciate it and more videos are on the way. That particular line "flemish" is called the daisy chain.
Hi from the UK. I have just found your channel and like what i see. However i, like many other viewers see you as more of a travelogue rather than you casting off or berthing. You know, to be a silent member of your crew experiencing the journey, the views, the history etc. I know it's a selfish request but would it be possible to create that ambience in more of your videos please, maybe in 20/30min episodes. Just put the camera on the bow and chit chat as you go. It would be quite enlightening as most of us will never be able to experience these river journeys. Thanks in advance, Rob. Just like this one and part 2.
Hey Rob - Thanks so much for your kind words and feedback. We do try to shake it up with what we present in our videos and our aim to give you the sense of what its like to be aboard. We will absolutely keep your suggestions in mind for what’s to come.
Forgot to ask earlier, how are you liking the Vulcan anchor? I'm looking to update my anchor and they are on my very short list. I have a closed pulpit like yours and are limited on choices. Thanks
We love the Vulcan. If you haven't seen it, we have a writeup on it here: myoloh.com/olohs-new-anchor-vulcan-on-board. From that article: While we have yet to use it in any especially challenging anchoring situations, we are happy to report that our Vulcan has performed flawlessly since its installation. It has always grabbed on the first attempt and has never dragged, even when we have been subject to significant current and wind.
Love the channel! Checked your resource page with your "favorites" but didn't see them there, what kind of bikes do you have?
Hey Craig - We have the Dahon Mariner folding bikes. We've actually had them since our last boat and are due for an upgrade. We've been contemplating folding e-bikes but haven't landed on the right one yet as we would like something more full-frame without the weight. We'll definitely post about whatever we end up with and suggestions are always welcome!
@@OLOH thanks for responding, will have to check them out. No doubt it's great to be back on OLOH and starting new adventures as spring approaches and hopefully COVID subsides. Fair weather and following seas to the crew of OLOH!
Is that yacht a Jefferson 60? What year is it? It is a beautiful yacht with stunning, classic lines.
Good eye and thanks so much for the kind words! She's a 2004 Jefferson 60 Marquessa M/Y. Lots of details about her on our website - www.myoloh.com.
@@OLOH Thanks so much! I will check it out.
Beautiful boat! Great to see other power boat channels. Not many out there. We have our own power boat channel you might want to check out, Cruising Jackson Rose. We cruise the Great Lakes and Trent Severn Waterway in Canada. Subscribed!
Thanks so much! We'll definitely check out your adventures. Cheers!
