Yeah I basically main ganon and his uptilt has a vacuum effect that works really well for ledge trapping actually and it demolishes shields. I main him since brawl and it’s really frustrating when you feel the limitations but when you wreck it’s absolutely glorious
As a Ganon main that's exactly how it is for me. It's really hard to land a hit when the opponent plays patiently, but if they rush in for an attack and miss, they're in for a world of hurt.

the Gannon pick makes sense honestly. Gannon's simpler punishes and better return out of winning neutral with a good read are valuable traits in a character. Given how the meta was a lot more simpler then Gannondorf was a safer pick. It's still a ludicrous pick, but given how nairo was playing that entire time, he simply needed more reward off of his fewer neutral wins.
Good analysis. That plus the comeback psychology factor had light shook, ganon thrives on opponent making mistakes and light was feeling the nerves (not playing optimally)
@@LetmeLive1985 unfortunately, Ganon absolutely curbstomps anyone that tries to scrap. it’s lame but you have to little mac treatment him where you play very very slow until you win a neutral exchange (which you will eventually because his neutral is so bad due to only having a few good moves in it and very poor movement) and then you absolutely buttfuck him in his disadvantage state until you either kill him off an edge guard or reset neutral and just do it all over again. this is why he and especially Mac needs a rework, it’s not fun for either player when you play the matchup optimally because they are horribly designed. Especially little mac

With any character in the game it’s natural to be careful of how zealous you get in terms of fighting. But as someone who has experience in both matchups I feel like I have less of a reason to camp Ganondorf that heavy and have fun dismantling him

Man, I feel that same energy when I was losing to a PT Main with Joker. Got 0-2 and down to my last game and somehow, I went with Isabelle, my main main, and I reverse 3-0 PT and that was the greatest feeling I ever gotten. Goes to show that even low tier characters has what it takes to bring the games back.
Cheese is a great factor in the strength of a character. And weight also determine how many errors can you make. But nice to Nairo, Fox is also super dummy.
I do feel a little bad for Light here, to not only get so close to winning the set only to have it stolen last second and getting humiliated on top of that, it's horrible. My brother mains Ganon. He's mained him for I don't even know how long. He constantly tells me he's the worst, or one of, the worst characters you could possibly play. But I've always hard disagreed with that just because I've seen him literally 3-5 shot people once he gets a read on them. Ganon hits sooo freaking hard and I absolutely love that about him. Who cares about fancy precision when you can just 2 shot people? x'D
I mean, Fox is at kill percent at like 50-60% vs Ganon, and Nairo is one of the best players to capitalize on this. Ganon only needs to make two or three good reads/hits to kill Fox, and Fox can only tank like one good hit on shield at a time because of how hard Ganon hits, not to mention the flame choke. So yeah, I can see how it can go to shit real fast if you're playing a feather light character vs a perfectly played Ganon.
Plus you can't even really exploit ganons biggest weakness since fox edgeguards are pretty weak so you usually have to do a lot of damage when you can't really afford to get hit offstage or take much damage yourself.

It’s really risky but I feel like you gotta take the risk against Ganon offstage even if you’re playing a charcter who isn’t good at edge guarding, because a rage heavy is one of the scariest characters to fight against. But then again I don’t play fox cause that character is stressful as hell.
Can someone explain what actually happened at 3:42? I see no footstool or accidental airdodge. Sure, he may have accidentally burned his double jump but from there he should be able to just up b and reach ledge. Why didn’t he?
You can tell he tried to wall jump into side B. Falco and even Wolf players tend to do this alot. His nerves made him mess up the wall jump and he side b'd to to his death
He is definitely the worst character. Thinking anything else is what's weird. Being able to win a set does not change that fact. It simply shows that Ultimate is more or less well-balanced, in that any character can potentially do well, regardless of tier position.

This is what happens when people believe in tier lists and not themselves. Remember the dude that won the Tekken tournament with Panda, the lowest character on the tier list. Everyone practices against those top tier characters and forget that there are more characters to use. Be the best "that character " you can. Put some respect on Ganons name!!

My brother mains Ganon. He's mained him for I don't even know how long. He constantly tells me he's the worst, or one of, the worst characters you could possibly play. But I've always hard disagreed with that just because I've seen him literally 3-5 shot people once he gets a read on them. Ganon hits sooo freaking hard and I absolutely love that about him. Who cares about fancy precision when you can just 2 shot people? x'D

I mean, Fox is at kill percent at like 50-60% vs Ganon, and Nairo is one of the best players to capitalize on this. Ganon only needs to make two or three good reads/hits to kill Fox, and Fox can only tank like one good hit on shield at a time because of how hard Ganon hits, not to mention the flame choke. So yeah, I can see how it can go to shit real fast if you're playing a feather light character vs a perfectly played Ganon.
Plus you can't even really exploit ganons biggest weakness since fox edgeguards are pretty weak so you usually have to do a lot of damage when you can't really afford to get hit offstage or take much damage yourself.
@@minty9880I’ve seen fox players use nair and shine off stage, but if they miss it, the fox player is dead. It’s really risky but I feel like you gotta take the risk against Ganon offstage even if you’re playing a charcter who isn’t good at edge guarding, because a rage heavy is one of the scariest characters to fight against. But then again I don’t play fox cause that character is stressful as hell.
Only thing is it's hard to get in there as ganon you usually lose all neutral unless you get those reads, wich makes him fun af

I see no footstool or accidental airdodge. Sure, he may have accidentally burned his double jump but from there he should be able to just up b and reach ledge.

You can tell he tried to wall jump into side B. Falco and even Wolf players tend to do this alot. His nerves made him mess up the wall jump and he side b'd to to his death

He never was THE worst by virtue of Little Mac existing, but he is still down there.
It’s also weird how people think it’s perfectly fine that Nairo hot head from a minor.
He is definitely the worst character. Thinking anything else is what's weird. Being able to win a set does not change that fact. It simply shows that Ultimate is more or less well-balanced, in that any character can potentially do well, regardless of tier position.
