Great video 🪴👍. What fertilizers do you use? I'm not sure what to buy for spring (I'm switching to the boons mix this sping). Once again, the video was very informative 👌

Anything high in nitrogen will work.
I'm more of a natural fertilizer type of guy, so I have used the all-purpose organic tree fertilizing pellets as well as guano fertilizer.
Thanks for your continuous support and feedback 💪

Hello thanks for the great video, jow long do we need it to grow wildly before selecting branches?

Depends on how wild it's growing/how big your grow bag/pot is. I would say the answer is to let it grow until you think you have enough branches to choose your main branches! 1 growing season will definitely be enough.
      Hope that makes sense?

Thank you for the great content, I am following you on TikTok as well. Any videos about Camel Thorn or Umbrella Thorn Bonsai trees would be much appreciated.

      Thanks for the support!
I tried camel thorns a few years ago, but maaaaaannn they don't wanna be a bonsai!
They die very easily when working on the roots and they take for ever to grow, even in large soil bags!
I currently have 1 umbrella thorn, but it's in a 5L bag and im just letting it grow wild at the moment.
The best thorn trees for bonsai are your monkey thorns (white and black) and the knob thorn.
Their barks are awesome and they can be trained into an umbrella shape.
I'll make a video about them if you'd like?

@MimNat Thank you so much for the response. I am still in the process of gathering as much information regarding the Camel thorn and Umbrella thorn, and every bit helps. My aim is an Acacia tipe thorn tree with the flat top.
Would appreciate the monkey thorn tree video. Keep the content coming👌

Hi Mimnat. I chopped one of my Pafra’s in half. I really do hope it develops some branches on top of the chop and sides. My question is, how can you encourage branch development? Is fertilizing enough for that? I know branches don’t magically grow overnight, sadly🥲😂

      Haha no problem!
I also wondered that when I started out!
The trick to getting branch development from a young small plant is time!
Let it grow in a big bag or in the soil if you can (no frost areas) and just prune it a bit back every now and then!
