NP435 Early Bronco Install

This video is about the process of putting a np435 into a 1973 Bronco. This is using the advance adapters kit which will be used to bolt this transmission to the stock Dana 20 transfer case that came in the Bronco. The stock transmission crossmember from the Bronco can also be used.
The trans tunnel has to be cut then plated for the shifter of the 435 and in the video you can see where the shaft comes out if you want to try to cut less.

I did a np 435 swap about a year ago.. I had a 2" body lift that provided more clearance for the tranny and the tub.. only had to cut about a 8"x 8" hole for the shifter and the boot covered it up..

Those side brackets are upside down. The cross member should fit inside them.

Hey man! Thanks for making the video! I was curious, what were thoughts on the gear banger for the np tranny. I have one in my eb and I was considering on installing the banger on mine. Keep the vids coming!

Roberto Rosa I think it's pretty great. The alternative of bending a long shift lever leads to a crazy long throw. It's still pretty long to get to 1st with the gearbanger but it can be shifted a bit faster if needed. I plan to make one with a few hiems and flat bar as they are pretty simple.
