È un basso meraviglioso
One of the most meaningful arias to me, and the vocalist who pushed me to keep singing. I’ve never heard Ramey sing this - such a minor rôle in a major work. Thank you.

Very good but try listening to chaliapin singing this,his voice is not as beautiful but the pathos and emotion he puts into it makes it one of the very best

I see that bodiloto has been here. He seems to have made it his life's work to go to all of Samuel Ramey's videos and shred Mr. Ramey to pieces. I suspect he's jealous. There's got to be something personal going on here.

Those people writing their credencials to give some credit to their opinions... I want to see them accomplish a minimum of Ramey's career...
Bad dynamics. Not variation and intent in his portraying of feelings. He doesn´t think enough. He is just sounding like a machine. I don´t like machines. But otherwise. Ramey has a very fine voice

@@eugeniogentili1048 Incominciava con una voce baritono leggiero, ch’era fatta oscura e molto piu grande per un magistro di canto famoso negli Stati Uniti. Secondo me la voce rimane un po artificiale.

Finalmente la voce è quella di un baritono basso .l'interpretazzione al mio parere manca un poco di dolcezza, pero non si puo dire che sia mal cantata.
