Had Thoma's vision been taken away, I bet he would wake up with amnesia every time Ayaka or Ayato would try to help him, or talk to him asking them who they are/who are they to Thoma. They are the reason as to why he got his vision. That vision hunt decree was cruel to many who depended on their vision.😭✋🏽
