Great advice. I listened to 3 preppers last year who had me so terrified about starving that I spent $4,000 at the supermarket stockpiling food and I don’t have that kind of money so I used a credit card and it’s my own darn fault. I finally snapped out of it because ONE of those preppers admitted she got called out on her fear tactics, apologized for being irresponsible and drastically cut down on her postings. So, yeah, you do have to keep your ears and eyes open. And like you said…this is their business and should be treated accordingly. Good posting….thank you.
Thanks Prepper Princess. I really needed to hear this today. I have been freaking out about everything from watching so many Prepper videos. There is so much talk about doom and gloom! I also don’t want to be a Pollyanna who thinks that nothing is wrong and everyday is wonderful. You have your feet solidly planted on the ground and speak common sense about money and life. You’re doing it the smart way, prepare but don’t be scared! There is so much of life to live and enjoy. Family, friends and experiences are the most important things in life!
Prepper Princess, I have to say that I've watched some of your earlier videos, and thought that you were a " The Sky Is Falling " type of person. However, in my observations you have EVOLVED into a " Very Well Prepared & Balanced " person as illustrated by the content of this video. Responsible, yet prepared individuals will ALWAYS survive what life throws their way. There aren't ANY GUARANTEES in life, except it will be challenging, and the question is/will you be prepared and up to those challenges. You go Gurl !!! Always, Syn Silver.
Home canning food is one of the best measures of prepping in my opinion..You can home can meats.. veggies.. friuts.. yes even dairy if you know what you are doing..Of course the Diary industry would say otherwise.. and the USDA won't advertise/publish the needed steps... but doesn't the dairy industry already produce, distribute, and sell prepackaged dairy that is shelf stable for as much as two years in both liquid and powder form?
Came across this video by chance. Glad I did! It has been a long while since I heard a Prepper UA-camr talk such great, balanced common sense. New subscriber, lady!!!
Congratulations on thinking for yourself, doing your own critical research, & not letting those who use fear & anger to add you to those they enjoy controlling.Bravo.
Great points about actual vale of preps! I like the way the Amish manage without too much reliance on the outside world. Any group of people that can be so self reliant has ideas worth learning about.
Hi Prepper Princess, one of your U.K. subscribers here. If you have the time, I wondered if you might be happy to do a video about feeding pets well at this time of high inflation? I’ve never seen canned and dried cat and dog food on sale in U.K. supermarkets and the price, even in Aldi, is rising rapidly. It occurred to me that it might be the same in other countries. I love your channel and your ‘no nonsense’ approach and the clips of you with your dogs always make me smile 😊. Best wishes.
Thank you for everything you do. I’ve learnt so much from you. I used to be a shopaholic. Loved spending all day at a shopping centre. Now, that’s all stopped. I want less. Less stuff and hassle. I’m using up what I have. After having a long term job and no money issues, I lost my job because of covid. Now I’m struggling but getting through with some juggling the money I have. Never thought I’d lose my job. Wish I had managed my money better 25 years ago.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. I have been interested in survival and prepping for a long time, but mostly on the periphery of my mind. I think for me, the problem is that we don't have basic survival skills in the modern age, which goes to you point of learning to forage and fish, also taking care of your body in good times, so you can survive in bad times. I bought my first g at the beginning of the pandemic, because it occurred to me that there could be supply chain issues and I didn't even have basic self defense. But I never bought more than maybe a month ahead. I feel that if there is ever a situation where I need more than that...and I have lived through power outages with hurricanes....probably we are in a situation where we are looking at a new way of living. I have had dreams about this before and my conclusion even in my dreams is that the most valuable asset in the case of something extreme is community, and we have to think of ways to be valuable to the community. And there is also the distinct possibly that you have to physically leave you location. Good luck hauling all those rations, blocks of gold, weapons etc. I just don't see any scenario where I am holed up in my home going to war with my neighbors.
I spend $15-20 a week on cabinet groceries. $5 on 5 gallons of water. $15.00 on noodles or cheap snacks. It's possible. I stay away from foods that can't last. Apples, oranges, tomatoes, potatoes, 🍉 can be grown on side if your house.
You are awesome very down-to-earth . I was listening to one that was getting me all paranoid I even bought sandbags Crazy I have to stand back and realize that God is in control of all things. And to listen to your gut we are listening to these people. You are breath of fresh air thank you.
Hi Princess....I'm glad you are being the voice of reason, and I fully agree with your opinion on presious metals, if shtf does happen and things fall apart, no one will want it... and who will be carrying around a scale to buy your metals?.....another point is, that the government knows who has it and where you are, which makes you a target! NO THANKS!!
Like you, I bought a big box of freeze dried food and smugly stored it in the basement. A few years later, a minor flood caused me to go through the food (none of it was lost), and I realized that some of it was good for 30 years, but some of it was only good for ten years and would soon expire. Now I’m trying to use it while it’s still good. Also like you, I am buying and rotating canned food, which I like better anyway.
I have to agree with you on most points. I had started doing many of those things and finally took a real look at this hype and changed my ways. I have never had a problem with my freeze dried foods though. But I can take care of myself with what i have and if not I am old enough I won't stress over it.
I'm so in agreement with you sis my wife and I of 46yrs lol are reasonable preparations we live in a 40 motorcoach ( older ) we work as gate guards so we work winters in south Texas 6 mon on and then off we prep to protect ourselves not world collapse like preps Chan clam ,to much fear mongering...love your no nonsense content...wish you all the best love your new home and your skills...❤

I believe the value of gold and diamonds follow the price of gas. up and down. up and down. I agree 100% in what you are saying. Finally a prepper that has common since. Dogs are like children. you have to separate them to get some peace and quiet. Love watching your two. Have a great day
I bought freeze dried food as they were on sale here and there, I hope I never have to use them but have no regret they are there. I also have a lot of canned food that I rotate. We have fire arms because my husband likes them. There are real risks of SHTF events. My husband bought gold when it was under $400. oz and sold at $2000. I was invested in dividend stocks, different strokes for different folks. Thanks for your UA-cam opinions😊.
I learned from my aunt not to buy a huge amount of food to store. She bought a whole bunch of canned goods didn't rotate them just let them sit for food storage and they expired and it all went in the trash. Fear will make us do things we wouldn't ordinarily do.
I'm sorry to hear about the $$ lost but we live and learn. I do like guns and am a firearms safety instructor but agree you shouldn't have a whole stockpile (collects dust) and you should only have what you feel comfortable shooting. They lose value as well
My take... Food: Don't buy what you won't eat. Only buy what you **like** to eat. Then eat from your pantry (FIFO) and diligently replenish your pantry. Guns: If you do NOT like guns, don't get any. If you do, the basic 4 is fine (22lr rifle, 9mm pistol, 12ga pump shotgun, AR pattern rifle). Mad Max / Marauders: Can only happen with a non functioning govt (WROL). Politicians and govts are **DARNED** difficult things to be rid of. Fear/Emotions: If your emotions are over-influencing your decisions, you need to take a break from the internet & TV. Learn to spot "fear-porn" for what it is. Gold: Don't expect change when you try to spend it in SHTF, where it's value will likely vary WILDLY. It's best as a store of excess wealth across a recession/depression.
Prepping isn't *all* about hoarding food for shtf. It's about always eating today at 5 year old prices, and having a long term food storage should shtf. That way, I'm always eating cheaper, and I'm eating ok should there be a disaster.
Violence is increasing in the United States and in my town. You would never expect to be hit in the head and dragged out of your car when stopping by the library. But, it happened. You would never expect a man to shoot another man over his wife in the neighborhood Grocer Story Parking lot, but it happened. In that same Parking lot owners of the Chinese restaurant owners were robbed as they walked to their apartment less than a block from the store. In the same area the Pizza Hut Manager was robbed and killed as he had closed up and was leaving for home. Living in a nearby neighborhood that was established before the businesses nearby were built I live in what is considered a good neighborhood. I actually can list other violent episodes of people being murdered in their homes or yards. Defensive Measures must be considered in the present environment. In a nearby town at Wal Mart an angry man walked into the Parking Lot and started shooting people getting in or out of their cars. There was a TV Camera on a nearby municipal building and as we watched TV that day all of sudden we could view the situation as it was happening. I do not say you need thirteen guns but people need to be alert, prepared to try to save their life and the lives of their children and others. I never in my whole life expected to ever hear of such things happening. This is Truth and people need to take precautions. I have in no way told you all episodes of violence that I have knowledge of. This is not fear mongering. Society has changed.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for a dose of reality. I find myself getting caught up and even looking for property to homestead when I live very comfortably and safely where I am. #6 made me think of chicken little, then you showed your precious dogs, with no cares in the world (except I don’t think Rocky was into be filmed) ❤ 🐕 🐕
I'd get no more than 4-5. A sg, a long range/and or ar, a 22, and a hand. I think that pretty much covers all needs, home def, personal def, and small & large game food. I've never considered having a huge collection, just the bare bones of what's needed. I guess I've been lucky in following those who were practical like you. I'd also consider a bow if stealth was needed and fishing gear, but that's it. They all serve their purpose. I have a pantry similar to yours and just rotate them. While I do think some dried foods would be good to also rotate, I just have basics like beans, rice, and pasta right now. There are so many things to take into consideration to set yourself up. Income, space, skills, etc.
I simply love your videos and your energy! I´ve been watching you for years and it never gets boring! sending you lots of positive energy! PS: you're dogs are simply adorable and I could watch them do nothing all day haha
I live in a country in which guns are not the norm. I use a dialysis machine, without the stock for that, I am gone in a week. I do not need to prep because of this. But in reality, I dehydrate my excess vegs, but I try to turnover my food on a yearly basis. If anyone wants to come after me for that, good luck.
I think if and when the system/economy collapses, then it means people would be out of jobs and money. When people are out of jobs and money, they would struggle to feed themselves. That means food would become very valuable. In the end, it is always FOOD that we can't live without.
You are right! I think it is fear that runs a lot of the "advice" out there. Always check the facts to see if what you are thinking of doing is actually right for you. Not everyone has the same needs. Not everyone is qualified to give advice. Go back to basis survival tips, and make sure you actions are sustainable. Thank you as always for great advice.
If you haven't already, watch country life vlog, they cook everything over fire, don't speak English and have a very successful youtube channel. They are relaxing and truly amazing. Those are the videos to follow. The others are angry and creating havoc and undo stress to people. I'm so over angry people.
We have over 400 cans of Progresso soup. We love soup. We also have case's of spam. Hundreds of cans of vegetables. Everything is on rotation. When things are on sale we buy. We've been at it for years. Prepping is great fun. We also have case's of chef boyardee. Have fun.
Remember Laura Ingalls Wilder "On the Banks of Plum Creek." By the time they moved on to "The Shores of Silver Lake." the Ingalls family had fished out Plum Creek (and hunted out most wildlife) by relying on it for their 3 meals/day. Natural food sources are going to dry up even quicker when everyone is scrabbling for a share.
@@PrepperPrincess I agree. My young neighbors are just amazed that me as a 60 something women, haul wood, shovel my own driveway, fix things that break around the house, haul garbarge to the dump, etc. I'm sure they can't bake brownies from even a box. Scary.
Reading through the comments it is amazing how many people say that all you need is a shotgun because it will handle everything. I agree that a shotgun is very useful but if you are at the store buying TP and canned goods, toting a shotgun slung across your back in Walmart might draw some attention. A concealed handgun might be less of a problem.
@@mermaiddiyartist8119 Really do not want to be shot with one! Buckshot/Birdshot can ruin your day. Just the racking sound in the dead of night is enough to send bad guys packing.
I really liked this video. A lot of the You Tubers you are referring to spout arrant nonsense. It's hard to take someone seriously when they're banging on about the WEF meeting, yet they have no idea why it's called Davos.🤣
Just keep the guns you have and don’t buy any more guns. Problem solved in more ways than we can know. It’s just good old fashion optionality. If you have them, you have them. Bought and paid for. You can hand them out in a catastrophic emergency or you can pick and choose the right tool for the job if, heaven forbid, things go sideways. Guns are not a financial investment. Guns are a life investment.
Well, for one thing, if all these bad things are going to happen to us, then many things people are doing will not be useful. Preppers predict different disasters. Buying a generator, where are you going to get the fuel? If it is really bad, there is not going to be any fuel, or electricity to pump it. Buying solar and that equipment would be very useful. Buying and storing can goods or any foods, will expire, you have to learn to plant a garden and learn to can. You have to learn to make your own dehydrated food. You can not buy things to put water in, you have to have a way to purify water. You have to not think about using things that will not be available, you have to think about how can I take care of yourself because to me, if that stuff is going to happen, then depending on any of the conveniences we have now is not going to be there. This is just my opinion. I am not a prepper I just think differently. Thank you for sharing.
I read a recent story about a young boy attacked by several dogs. He survived, but badly injured. I wondered if there were people in the neighborhood that had a gun, why did they not shoot it into the air (not at the dogs) thinking that the noise would have caused the dogs to stop and run away. (I may be totally ignorant about attacking dogs) That, to me, would be a good reason to have a gun.
Prepper Princess, I’m trying to remember the lady’s page that recommended we also follow you. She would record in her kitchen, has two birds, and would talk about no spend and stockpiling. Do you know who I’m talking about?
Awe. Has Nala been naughty marking her territory in the new home? We have to keep our puppy in a playpen area too to keep her from peeing/pooping everywhere.
I watched one video where the UA-camr was telling people that now is the time to sell your home, and then said than now is a crappy time to buy a home. So, if you sell your home now but shouldn't buy one, where will you live??
Recession, Depression, I think of the tales my mother told me about how her mother would knock on doors to see if they had any leftover food to give her to feed her children, my mother lived to be 94 and she was very careful at what she spent, not knowing she left it all to me in a bank box..$200,20000.00...
While I was sitting in my hot tub while it was 20 degrees out. ( free hot tub at a garage sale needed some work) a family of skunks showed up and spent some time close to us. We became prunes waiting for them to leave so we could go inside. Made me think how a rabid animal could hold you hostage, hence a gun was bought. Makes you think about gold-what are all these people doing with all the money they are making selling their gold to you. Why not keep it and become filthy rich when it crashes? Have some freeze dried food , tried it yuck. I guess a little could be back up in the evident of near death or trade for something you need.
My favourite channels are prepper princess, minority mindset and passive income investing. I changed my life forever from spending to investing watching these channels. Im forever grateful..thank you!
I knew 20 years ago that gold and silver was a scam. I had firearms because I was a gun enthusiast. I have much less now. I don't have the food Reserve but even my own religion says that I should have. I'm working on that.
I am seriously stockpiling food, garden seeds, medication. These are the things that keep rising in price. My income is fixed and won't keep up with inflation. I also live in the north where I could get snowed in for several days. At this point, after a lot of planning, that doesn't worry me. The rest of it ....I stay informed but don't spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about those things since I can't protect myself beyond my home.
This woman is just simply the best of the traditional American approach towards living a good life. Live within your means, prepare for the worst, don't derive your sense of self or happiness from things. Salute to you living free 🫡 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Invest in building a just and equitable society. Good neighbors are a treasure beyond any other. Working together and pooling resources will get us through. As someone once said: Love your neighbor as yourself.
For my mental health I stopped following channels that did the "you're going to have to live in the woods and eating acorn and pine needles!". How depressing. Thanks for practical advice.
We all made mistakes. Probably the best asset to have is the ability to see you were wrong & cut the losses learning a life lesson. Great video Princess appreciate your honest look at life today.
My son figures that neither of us has the strength to fire a weapon. However, I stockpile canned goods...yep...I can haul up in my pantry and bombard zombies with my cans of green beans, and carrots - I'll save the creamed corn until the last minute. Well, we moved to a safer housing complex with professional students/ professors and resident doctors. Someone may come to get bandaids or share Christmas cookies. These are people who can rationally work together in the event of "craziness". Most of my neighbors have student loans to pay off- no gold.
She used to give great info but the money got to her. She was able to buy a larger house and farm animals and equipment but at what price? Her morals were the price.
I LOVE how you're not afraid to say practicle common sense thoughts without fear of repercussions. I admire that and your integrity. That is why I choose to watch YOU and not the fear mongers out there. Keep up the good work. 👍🙂
Hi Prepper Princess. I fully agree with you in that the single most important thing is having a paid for house. With that you most likely can live on your social security payment. You have a place to live and work out problems from. John USA

I never in my whole life expected to ever hear of such things happening. This is Truth and people need to take precautions. I have in no way told you all episodes of violence that I have knowledge of. This is not fear mongering. Society has changed.
True! Do you live in Atlanta or NY? I heard that crime & murders at an all time high? I agree times have changed 4 sure. You do need to be aware!
Maybe you should move. I have not seen any of those problems within hundreds of miles of any place I have ever lived.
If the economy collapses, blue jeans , good leather shoes and tools are more useful than gold and silver
Really thoughtful comment.
Invest in only the best, you may want to sell one day.
I know worrying works, because none of the stuff I worried about ever happened.....

Thanks for the video. It's always fun to see the digs!
I simply love your videos and your energy! I´ve been watching you for years and it never gets boring! sending you lots of positive energy! PS: you're dogs are simply adorable and I could watch them do nothing all day haha
Thank you for your common sense advice!! 😊
You are the only prepper I watch. Because the rest to me are ridiculous.
Great video, sound advice. Thank you for sharing
I spent the whole summer of 2020 being scared out of my mind. And none of that came true. I got sick of being scared.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worse.
Well said!

Yes! So, so true!
Spot on. Thank you!
Another great video
I totally agree about the fear-mongering! Yes, we need to prepare but not with fear!
If you haven't already, watch country life vlog, they cook everything over fire, don't speak English and have a very successful youtube channel. They are relaxing and truly amazing. Those are the videos to follow. The others are angry and creating havoc and undo stress to people. I'm so over angry people.
Good for you! Thanks for sharing.
I enjoy target practice, but if a person isn't interested in training, they shouldn't have weapons. Or at most, one, that they're familiar with
Great video, sound advice, Princess!
Thanks
I rotate my can goods also. I built 2 can racks. I don't have a pantry. And i don't listen to the gloom preppers.
We have over 400 cans of Progresso soup. We love soup. We also have case's of spam. Hundreds of cans of vegetables. Everything is on rotation. When things are on sale we buy. We've been at it for years. Prepping is great fun. We also have case's of chef boyardee. Have fun.
@carollynt 1) starvation will kill you faster than unhealthy food 2) even the USDA admits those dates are bogus
If you depend on ConAgra to supply your food you will starve in a collapse. Learn how to forage. There is much to eat in your own yard.
Totally 👍
Love this. "you are not that special" thanks for the laugh
I know right? She’s killing me 🤣
I agree with you 100%.
Common sense is priceless.
I live in a Tsunami as well as a Earthquake zone ….but live up on the hill….I can stay up here for months if need be….
This is golden, I needed to have this check! So timely.
I think you overestimate the knowledge of people today. Most people can’t bake brownies from a box, let alone hunt and fish for their food

😂😂 they’re slower too 😂
@@mermaiddiyartist8119 Really do not want to be shot with one!
Emotions and investing do not mix.
Very very true
Just keep the guns you have and don’t buy any more guns. Problem solved in more ways than we can know. It’s just good old fashion optionality. If you have them, you have them. Bought and paid for. You can hand them out in a catastrophic emergency or you can pick and choose the right tool for the job if, heaven forbid, things go sideways. Guns are not a financial investment. Guns are a life investment.
Thanks!
Thank you
Thank you soooo much!
(I may be totally ignorant about attacking dogs)
That, to me, would be a good reason to have a gun.
Shooting in the air is not recommended, and possibly illegal. Better use some loud noise for distraction.
@@america6545 WHAT?? Not recommended, You thinking of hitting a satellite or the moon?
I have used one of those air horns like the kind you get at Walmart.
A squirt with a garden hose would be more effective.
What goes up must come down.
Awesome post. Thank you!
U might like the book, Culture Of Fear.
Prepper Princess, I’m trying to remember the lady’s page that recommended we also follow you. She would record in her kitchen, has two birds, and would talk about no spend and stockpiling. Do you know who I’m talking about?
Rhoda Stone.
Yes, thank you. I’ve been racking my brain!
Awe. Has Nala been naughty marking her territory in the new home? We have to keep our puppy in a playpen area too to keep her from peeing/pooping everywhere.
Yup. She won’t potty train properly
I watched one video where the UA-camr was telling people that now is the time to sell your home, and then said than now is a crappy time to buy a home. So, if you sell your home now but shouldn't buy one, where will you live??
Apartment?
@@PrepperPrincess possibly. But why sell your house and move into a place with no rent control? Your rent could possibly be more than your mortgage.
Love this!
Very good video!
Recession, Depression, I think of the tales my mother told me about how her mother would knock on doors to see if they had any leftover food to give her to feed her children, my mother lived to be 94 and she was very careful at what she spent, not knowing she left it all to me in a bank box..$200,20000.00...
Like your new pad! As usual the dog friends are precious, I heard them playing in the background:)
😂😂😂 that’s funny
I meant the skunk part
Yeeks
My favourite channels are prepper princess, minority mindset and passive income investing. I changed my life forever from spending to investing watching these channels. Im forever grateful..thank you!
Ok like your channel very much ! Enjoy your videos and very helpful advice but really …. I’m here for the dogs 😉
Good video. Thanks. (But the ending talking about finding someones head in a freezer with a tattoo on it was pretty creepy, lol. )
I knew 20 years ago that gold and silver was a scam. I had firearms because I was a gun enthusiast. I have much less now. I don't have the food Reserve but even my own religion says that I should have. I'm working on that.
I do enjoy watching Pinball Preparedness
👍

I think it's important not to buy more food than you can consume before it goes bad. And don't buy food that you don't like to eat.
Thanks so much for the video. I watched Appalachian homestead for a long time but the doom and gloom got so scary. Thanks for being calm
John USA
You message should be becoming obvious to most preppers. Most channels absolutely exist to create fear and a ready customer base. Thank you for trying to spread the truth.
