How smart to come up with a new way to move the soil. Farmers are so resourceful.
Great video Andrew Matthew does a great job with camera. Very smart way to move the bags of dirt. Callie, precious as always
Love Matt.
It is so nice to see Callie understanding that you don't dress for the job you have. You dress for the job you want!
Please realize this is a working farm. So don’t criticize this family works hard and know what needs to be done. Love this channel.
This really does open the whole family and their wonderful love and work ethic up to all kinds of criticisms. They are brave and so forthcoming to share so much of themselves with the world! Just enjoy--- and constructive loving comments only! Buh-bye!
Not only that, but every farm is unique and does things in the way that works best for them.
They are the 6th generation to farm, I imagine they know what they are doing.
Who criticised?
Some people are mean. Opening up your life.on UA-cam carries risks and it is just mean.
Always a smile on my face while I’m watching a great family working together and supporting each other.
When you work on a farm you constantly work there's always something to do
Nice haircut Andrew. Nifty about the top tiers of the growing medium bags, guys! Great idea. Callie really has her video dialog down pat. She's a cutie. Prayers for Lauren and your babies to be born Andrew and Lauren and Callie (whole family too).
😊 I loved Callie’s opening today! It’s my favorite part of the intro seeing her say “I’m Callie “ & “and girls!” Such a doll!!
"Time is money and Grandpa is funny!" 😂❤❤
Keeping Lauren and the babies in my prayers! I'm so glad you take us on your journey at the farm. Love you guys too pieces,
Ditto!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Every time I see you go down those back stairs I hold my breath. They look steep.
Glad to see that Callie is taking good care of Daddy. So grown up now.
I think it is awesome that no matter how busy you are, you all take time for Callie!
Cali has that intro down. Nice to see everyone back.
Mathew sure is a natural in front of of the camera. I bet he’d be great at sports announcer. Great voice 👍🏼
I 💕 how you say “buhbye” at the need of each vid. Makes me smile and I reply “buhbye”. Our little secret.
Absolutely Brilliant!!! Always a Fan of Working Smarter not Harder ❤❤❤ The G-Factor....Grandpa's got the Jam!
Y’all are the best folks you must be my kinfolks, brothers and sisters
was a genius idea to make all that feed back when the family was going on vacation. Saved Andrew a lot of time and energy. Great idea for next winter too.😊
Working smarter not harder is a best practice moving those bags of dirt!
The end was the best. Joel and Meagan over with yall. Family is so good.
Love your family! You are so Blessed!
Another good video, enjoy seeing the family working together! 👍 Thank you for putting the recorded date in the description
Great stuff Ochs Family!
Cool idea on the dirt bale shuffling! ❤
Look at the big Brain on Brian! Lots of people gonna appreciate that trick! Those 3.8 cf bales are akward to handle no matter what conditions are. Nice job Matt!
GREAT idea Grandpa Brian. Watching you guys lug those heavy, frozen cubes, last year, made my back hurt! 😃😃
Aunt Becky is awesome 😊😊😊
Work smarter...not harder😊..you guys are geniuses
Andrew is so gentle with callie. He will make a great dad!
He is called dad.

I love your dad, Andrew! "Time is money!" 👏😄
Your dad and your brothers are a hoot! Love it when they get control of the camera! 😂
Did we meet a new uncle we haven't seen before or am I just forgetting? I'm going to have to find Joel's genealogy video now because the genealogy hobbyist in me wants to figure out where he goes on the family tree.
Farming families are so interesting to me to see where the branches spread out and whether they decide to stay with the agriculture field or go into something else. My father's family were all farmers at the start of the 1900s, but not one of my father's siblings continued in agriculture. Going through the depression left them with pretty bad memories, but the head of their family viewed farming as a way to survive. He wasn't very business-oriented, nor did he show any love for the practice which seems a bit sad to me. Watching how successful your family is at farming kind of heals the wounds left behind that my father's generation lived through (they've all passed on). I have a better understanding of why they made the choices they did as opposed to taking the family land and creating a successful agriculture venture of their own. Each of them made good lives for themselves after leaving the farm they grew up on, but they always had a special place in their heart for the old homestead.
One of the girls bought a parcel of the farm that was directly on the water when it was sold and she and her husband moved there after they retired. It's where all the family reunions were held and the final resting place of my father's ashes (he was the youngest) so I know the farm held a special place in their hearts for the rest of their lives.
Love this story. Reminds me of the feeling all my dad's family have for their old home place in West Virginia.
Joel and🎉Andrew are first cousins.
Joel’s mom and Andrew’s dad are siblings.
That idea is Super. What a wonderful idea that works.
Pushing Soil off pallet,,, ❤GENIUS ❤
FARM WORK IS HARD WORK .
Wish you could ship some potatoes to me in central Arkansas!! Yours look much better than what we have in our stores. And at a better price. Glad Lauren is hanging in there. You’re doing a great job taking care of your girls. Prayers for continued health.
Hey I want a 20 pd bag too Crawfordsville Arkansas
You can tell your Dad is my age, he is brilliant. Ha Ha.
Really enjoy your videos thank you for sharing your daily activities, the little things you teach us about farming growing vegetables and the beautiful family you also share is amazing.
Love watching! You guys got lots of stuff done today. Happy you have some warm weather to work in. Good to see all of your family back together.
32 minutes after posting and over a thousand likes! Sweet. Hugs from Esquimalt
Can someone tell them that there is still a rogue pumpkin under the feed troughs on the side with the pasture cows and bulls....
Curious cow 😊
Matthew- great job on your part!
Wow, nearly time to start planting seeds, all such hardworking people
Oh that was so exciting watching y’all figure out the dirt shifting. And so funny how it got figured out. I love those little moments when you guys figured things out.
Andrew my husband loves your show and would like you to address feeding the cats in the barn a little more 😊😊😊😊
What a great video. Watch them all but this one had some good laughs. Nice to see you relaxing at the end of the day.
Ralph!!!! Good to see you!!
Seeing that New Holland hammer mill really brought back memories. As a young guy just starting out dairying I had a New Hollander mill just like yours. We were milking 60 cows and had a couple of hundred head of hogs. Had to grind 4 loads a week for the cows and 5 loads for the pigs every week. Love your content and God bless your family.
Interesting story, and to think a lot of people working 9 to 5, five days a week complain.
We all should have been wearing ear protection those things were loud.
Use the old metal you took off roof to fillin sides of barn
We are using our tin roof for our new houses ceiling in the kitchen
They had all those rock
Excellent idea!
Good day to all.
Thank you for sharing your world. Be safe. See you in the next one.
Love the ending! So normal and satisfying to see. Thank you for your great videos, everyone!!
Genius with the pallet of soil!!!❤
Great idea on the moving of the dirt! It’s so heavy!
Such an enjoyable video. Your entire family is fantastic. ❤❤❤❤
"And girls!!"
🥰🥰🥰
That was 200 IQ, right there!!
I'd love to see the date when you film, if that is possible to write into a corner, I think everyone would like that, if it's possible! Lots of love from Romania!
I love how they do everything with quality in mind.
Bucketing grain into the grain crusher reminded me of how we used to do it at my grandparents farm. The whole batch was scooped up by hand with buckets or large shovels. It was great when they got a grain tank with an unloading auger, saved a lot of work. They milked 50 cows and had at least that many fat cattle as well as 40 or so sows farrow to finish that took a lot of grain.
Put a tarp down to catch all the feed dropping into the mud…….that’s a good meal
genius way to move soiless
Working smarter and not harder is the answer
Great back saving maneuver. Ochs rock!
I think I know how to run a farm by now after watching your videos Andrew….NOT! Keep up the great work. Love the way the family works so hard together.
You might think that...because the Ochs make it look easy. It's not. There are years and years of learning, both in education and in passing down knowledge. Along with a lot of hard work, through both the good and lean years and family supporting each other, as I said they make it look easy. There is a lot you don't see. But you are right, they also do a great job of showing the average non farmer what farming entails, something that folks who think that milk comes from a carton haven't experienced.
Totally agree 👍
@@kayerin5749. You are right on
I would like to get to know all your farm cats ! A lot of people love cats especially farm cats ! They do a very important job on the farm ! Get rid of rats and varmints !
I like cats too and I grew up on a farm state of NY
So that's answer my query, on how they provide the chicken feed 😅 it's obvious that they owned, acres of corns in different varieties, acquired several farm machinery and processing their own animal feeds. Same goes to cow feeds too 😊❤
God bless your family and keep you safe.
Great video and #48 did a wonderful close up I could really see the true personality!
Great work ethic!
LOVE Matthew great commentator and explainer for what y'all do! My guess is, either Matthew or Daniel or bet it was Grandpa who came up with the idea, to move the top three levels to a new pallet. Great video fellas, and I LOVED seeing Uncle Daniel holding Callie's hand coming into the farm market. Great day of accomplishments! God Bless y'all!!!
Andrew, confident you’ve thought of this; if there truly is excess with the eggs concern, pickle them and sell them in market like you do the kraut, horseradish, etc. I would think there is some great styles in all your heads, especially Grammy’s (awesome) and fly off the shelves. Margin is there too. If I lived in your area, I’d probably be in every other day buying a quart or more. 😃👍
Mmm, pickled eggs! I’d be there!
Red beet eggs.
I love the new way of splitting up the pallets guys….anything that can lighten everyone’s load is a very good thing😉! Everyone is starting to be able to narrate the videos really well🤗!
Andrew you need a group chat with your mom dad matthew and joel.just in case lauren goes into labor early.
you guys are so awesome! Thanks for another great video!!!
The egg wharehouses store them for 30days before they ship them to the store. Except at easter time when they teaditionaly empty out. People complain when the shells are hard to peel
Well done for finding ways of saving the strain on your backs, and that way of shifting growing medium looks quicker too. Warning snow is on the way, Joel has had it already!!
It won’t be long you’ll all be planting seeds and moving calves around and equipment out of greenhouses to get greenhouses ready for planting . Can’t wait yo see it all is done . Welcome home everyone glad you all had a wonderful vacation. I know Andrew family plus Grandma stayed on the farm. But everybody is back to work grinding feed setting store up and getting wholesale produces and collecting eggs to sale. Can’t wait to see twin babies come hope soon. Hello Callie the princess for the day cool.
I love potatoes. I may try to grow my own this year!
that was a great idea with the dirt
We’ve been splitting pallets of beer like that for the 32 years I’ve been with AB.
Working smarter, not harder! Love the way you took care of getting the dirt bags onto a new pallet! It is silly how excited I get when I see a new post from Veggie Boys and Stable Life. Loved the closing!
Brillant idea on working to save your backs. Thanks foe filming
I watch with anticipation everyday to see when the Twins are here. My favorite Channel on UA-cam
Estimate mid march
I don't think she can wait that long.when those babies are ready she will know
Being🎉 her second pregnancy and she is having twins .ive never had twins buy my oldest daughter weighed 9 pounds and 12oz.and was 22inches long.i thought I was having a cow.haha.
Take care Lauren.
🇨🇦
Great problem solving with the grow mix! Work smarter, not harder.
Working smarter not harder.😊
I love your channel! I learn something new every time i watch it. You said something today that gave ma an ‘ah ha’ moment. I watch you feed the cows and the chickens but it never dawned on me that ‘the grain’ you were feeding them was different than the other. 😂 thanks for helping this city old lady understand things better on the farm!
Glad you got Feed ground and Soil put away in the green house. Always fun to see your animals. Take Care and Be safe on the farm Out
Great video again. And great way to move a lot of weight & make it look so easy.
You all do such good work!👍👏
Gotta love this time of year.😳😜😂
Closing up that new far end for now, how about some tarps, canvas or similar to ease on the expense. Plus, in summer heat, would help with air flow by rolling them up or take down.
Andrew you look like you have lost some weight. Looking Good and Better for your health and back.
Great idea to move that “Soilless growing medium”!
Brilliant soil moving technique!
Potatoes are something you want for Dinner as often as possible and there are a number of ways to Enjoy them. Sweet Corn and Potatoes are your Cash Crops.
Great way to move those needed layers on non-soil without having to do it manually.
This is such a great episode 🤍👍👍😍
