I love Calla Lillies. I carried three when I was married! There is aline from an older movie in which Katherine Hepburn is one of the stars. It goes something like this: "The calla Lillies are in bloom again. What a wonderfully versatile flowers they are; equally at home for weddings as well as funerals." She is in a long flowing gown with a covering, I think over that, also long and flowing and all so graceful. She says it with such a wistful tone in her voice and her face has an expression of looking out to the unseen with eyes that see. Remarkable. I had remarked about the very nice Calla Lillies you had painted-using a kitchen sponge, no less, and blended beautifully as well as textured. A really fun effort and results to watch! I had mentioned Katherine Hepburn speaking of the flowers, saying,"The calla Lillies are in bloom, What an unusual and versatile flower it is. At home equally for use at weddings and at funerals." I obviously paraphrased that a bit! HERE is the movie title: Stage Door. It was made in 1937 and up for several Academy Awards in 1938, in which the Director actually won. Hepburn was nominated. A ton of big stars to be- in real life and in the movie-lived together in a spacious house and went on casting calls all the time from their home base-the large house. It had Lucille Ball, Ginger Rogers, and so many more recognizable future huge stars in it! I told you that I would look it up on IMDB, which I did. Then I got "roped in" by watching some short videos-very interesting, indeed. So there you go! :). Happy to do it and best fortune in your artistic endeavors and success. Yours truly, Terri
