This song reminds me of the old railroad days. You don't hear tunes like these any more. It's great to hear someone values the old music. More people need to play these folk tunes so they don't die out. Thank you Franco for playing it.
As much as I love fahey this rendition by Franco has more of an uptempo beat to the piece. Congrats Franco I purchased the tab from your website and hope to be able to to it justice as I am only a little over a year into playing guitar at the young age of 67!!
@@littlefurrow2437 If you are learning this tune, try not to listen to the Stefan Grossman until you have mastered Franco's version. It's very easy to find yourself mixing one with the other. After that, the Grossman version is a piece of cake. By the way, the Grossman version also has accompaniment, some sort of background percussion, which fattens his sound. Both versions are great, but learn one at a time. It's a great fun piece to play. Respect to all.
