I like the part about why you choose Lumix over Olympus and show a Lumix camera with an Olympus lens :) I don't do video, and I recently moved from Panasonic to Olympus body and use a mix of Olympus and Panasonic/Leica lenses. Both brands are great and offer choices in the MFT system.
Gary, I genuinely enjoy your channel. You offered some great replies to some interesting questions. I always wondered why you prefered Lumix. Now I know. PS -I have several Olympus cameras, but because of you, I bought a used Lumix G85. I love it!!! Thanks.
I got the 14-140 for travelling and I agree with Gary that I don't miss the 2mm difference at the wide end. But of course the extra reach is extraordinary. I highly recommend that lens. btw For travelling you also need a fast lens for evening, or some interior, shots (I have the 15mm for this). That's all I have with me when I travel. Extra light combo.
I totally agree with the 14-140mm recommendation. It epitomises MFT. As you say, just add a prime or two and boom, you’re set. So small and light which makes the system so much fun. I recently bought the 12-40mm f2.8 Oly which I’m loving for the wider aperture, and Oly’s feathered bokeh. There is a certain quality to the rendering that it has which puts it up there with the best lenses I own, namely the Leica 15mm, 25mm and Oly 75mm. It also looks perfect on the G9: like they were made for each other.
The Olympus EPL7 has the advantage of being able to have an EVF fitted to it if required . The 20mm 1.7 is one of my favourites. I’ve just revisited my 12-32 kit lens combined with Oly EM5 mkii for general use.
I do really want to get back to the E-PL camera again, it's very difficult to find one here, and I don't want to import due to outrageous tax and fees.
Hey, regarding the 12-60, what do you think about the Pana Leica version (f/2.8-4). How much better would that be vs Pana version? Also, how does PanaLeica 12-60 + Pana 45-150 go VS just one 14-140 II? Thanks in advance!
OH NO! You "breathe onto your lenses" to "clean" them? Your breath is not very clean! Personally, I think that each time you clean your lens's front element, you are degrading it a bit. Add that adds up over time, and it will eventually begin to get noticeable. This is a religious subject, but I put good quality protection filters on all my lenses. If they get grimy from ordinary use, I put them all in the dishwasher! (But not on lasagna night… :-) Yes, I do believe that you don't put a lot of thought into caring for your gear! That's okay. Means you buy more gear and do more reviews! :-)

This was such a fun episode!
Thanks for answering all of these questions!
