You wrote: "I don't want this knowledge to be lost, our children and grandchildren should know about them later." Don't forget the many thousands around the globe! They do appreciate your effort also!
your chisel sounds like woodpeckers, and they protect us from squirrels. so i feel pretty safe and secure when watching these videos. thank god for the woodpeckers.
You ever notice how easy it is to watch a true artist perform their art? This is one those artists. It’s a joy to see such complex joints made with such ease and by hand. I don’t believe a cnc mill could produce this level of quality given 5 times the amount of time it took for this man to do it by hand.
Master Carpenter!
A simple wooden work bench, saw, mallet, hammer, giant C clamp, ball point pen, and a few chisels is all this master craftsman needs to make these beautiful and intricate joint puzzle locks.
Am learning a ton watching this guy. @5:10 is brilliant! Much respect!
What the master has done is really great and super
I cannot add to the other compliments written here. He is an example of old world carpentry. Did you notice the only electric operated device in his shop is a single light bulb.
Master , … you make me speechless, honestly!
I love all of it and my favorite parts are the chisel work. Just watching a master at work is great - no matter what he makes. Great thing about Japanese joinery is it’s beautiful and it works. It fits together for a purpose.
Are you pleased ?
This guy is only doing the various types of Japanese joinery and he's good. Now imagine if he decides to make a full blown furniture of certain type.😆
Many of the joints he demonstrates are for timber framing buildings and make little sense for furniture
Superbe assemblage 👌👏
Another great joint in another great performance in showing us how to do it thank you for the entertainment and then knowledge keep up the good work
It's a pleasure to watch a true craftsman. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Lovely to watch someone doing something really quite difficult and make it look so easy, thanks.
By using its knowledge the work get great value doing by its own hands big respect I love the woods when someone valuable it's
It is really pleasant to just to watch these things being crafted.
Most people would only see a bit of joinery. But to people that work with wood this joint is beautiful. The craftsmanship is amazing. Thank you for the video. 👍👍
Brilliant; thank you. 2:33
I would love to see how you sharpen your chisels, that would be a very instructive video.
The master seems to be left-handed... so am I ! Excellent work :)
Ich bin beeindruckt von soviel Fachwissen und solcher handwerklichen Präzision.

The title of this video should be “Stop Whining While Using Your Power Tools”
Amazing work! Congratulations!
Do you like it ?
Very knowledgeable
Wonderful workmanship with a precision better than mechanical tools could produce. I expect this joint would last many generations without any mechanical fasteners.
Да
Beautiful and satisfying to watch.
Yes
A Vietnamese doing Japanese joinery is like a Greek making Belgian chocolate. (Greek is another country in Europe rather far and unrelated to Belgium; Belgium is a country where they make good chocolate)
Whaou bis !!! RESPECT ! 👍👍👍
GRA CIAS POR COMPARTIR MAESTRO.
Excellent work and very satisfying to watch! if you link to a "how to" that explains the layout you could sell it for sure!
Truly amazing and with no measurements or set square.
awesome!
What can one say? Absolutely stunning woodcraft. And all he uses is a few chisels a wooden hammer and a square. Kind of makes me feel small in a way.
experience sir
I believe that's called being humbled in a pleasant fashion.
Thats so sick.
I m watching all of your vids.
Thanx a lot
Perfekt 👌

Sensacional!!!!
Saludos cordiales desde Chile. Hermoso trabajo.
Awesome
What types of wood are best suited for this type of craftsmanship, or can it be done with any/most? Don’t know much about this, looking to learn more
Meu amigo, vc é o rei do encaixe, parabéns. 🤝

Again Spectacular Art!
Thanks
Nota mil, o trabalho desse profissional.desejo sucesso absoluto pra você meu amigo.
Muito top 👊👊👊🇧🇷👍💯
Once again very nice, elegant, what would this have been mainly used for?
Muito bom!🇧🇷
La carpintería japonesa es una de las mas ingeniosas y creativas, parece jugando Tetris.
Muito bom nota 10 👍
Good job
You'd love this neat little invention called a "T-square". Might help for that early marking.
He has no trouble with the way he does it
Klasse 👍👏👌
This is "pure art". I hope you are transmiting your skills to someone of the new generation. I would love to lear to master using these scisels and learn all these various dove tails and joints. Thank you gor sharing.
Thank you for your compliments
No, it was not originally "pure art". It was originally, and still is, used for practical construction. Yes, these modern showpieces are ARTFUL, but only because Japanese craftsmen were/are artisans, ie artists who made useful and beautiful stuff. Too many Westerners today just make self-indulgent, sponsored, wanky art to show off. Let's see them build a 7 story temple with their skills. Too much of YT is what I call "comfort viewing" -- vicarious entertainment. Reality is far more real than art and deserves much higher praise than a hobbyist with a very sharp chisel.
Then go to Japan; find a Master; study and practice for years; let your personality and spirit be transformed through the *process* ; more than just "wanting" the skill or the end product.
Good videos 🔥👍
Que bonito trabajo fino preciso y con las herramientas más básicas
You are a genius
Exelente trabajo, se me figura que no hay dibujo que le haga el joven que usted maestro no pueda desarrollar, respeto, apreció y agradecimiento desde mar del plata Argentina
Great work, sir. Amazing skills. Make me want to try this.
Thanks 👏👏👏
Now I know what I gonna do when I'll retire
Che artista. Penso che pochi possano imitarti.
Nice
رائع وفنان والقليل من يستعمل هذه التقنية دون استعمال مسامير
I really want to try and do this joint now. I doubt I'll do it even half as good as this but I want so much to try.
You might wanna practice a few times before you put the video up
