Thanks so much, I struggled with this for 2 hours, the only thing I can recommend is make sure you have the old keys close to the Tumblr, I didn’t have it close enough, and it would not go into reprogram mode.
I took the skim module out from under the column. Had the new keys cut as the original key. Cable tied the old key in the transponder loop of the skim module. Jeep starts with both new keys. If something goes wrong. The old key is there for emergency.
@@TheIsaacBlair So do you have to have an original code key to do this? Like do you need the original code key to transfer the c code to the Amazon key?
@@yuiopoli9601 that is what is happening during this video. The Jeep reads the chip in the original keys and then you program the blanks and the Jeep will accept the new keys. You have to have two originals for this to work.
@@peakposse1906 Dang! Well THANK YOU for edifying! Looks like I'll be getting this done another way. I only had one code key (before I lost it) anyway. Merry Christmas!
Hi Man, can I have a question? I don't have a new ignition tumbler, but one of my old key is damaged. The chip inside works fine, its just the physical key itself its too damaged and i can't turn the key. Now my question: Can I buy those blank keys from amazon, and program them with the same technique as you used in the video? But instead of "new black key" as you used in video, i would insert blank key from amazon directly? So my steps would be: 1. insert blank key from amazon 2. encolse first original key 3. turn to start 4. shut it off 5. enclose second original key 6. turn on 7. wait for key light flashing 8. shut it off 9. inser the blank from amazon again and start? Will this work?
Wow, I wanted to know how you did it but I couldn't handle listening to your door buzzer. If you decide to remake the video without that annoying sound I will definitely watch it.

Thank you for the video and I am still trying to get my jeep programmed.

That’s genius!

@@TheIsaacBlair I lost my code key but I have non code keys, they just won't start my Jeep so I was wondering if these Amazon keys can work for me.

It will work as long as you have two original keys
@@peakposse1906 thanks man, i will try
What if you only have 1 original key will it work
The info I have found says one key will not work.
@@TheIsaacBlair thanks for the reply that's what I found too.

Oh my!
LMAO 🤣😂. Are you serious
What if old keys were stolen
Everything I have read says you have to have two original keys to program the blanks.
