How I cut my Wafer Paper Flowers Petals (EFFICIENTLY) using Silhouette Portrait 3

- Learn how to cut 100 petals in just 10 minutes!
To be honest, before I got the Silhouette Portrait 3 machine to cut my wafer paper flowers petals, I have been cutting them by hand and it takes SOOOO long to do so. It doesn't help when I have so many flowers to make), it's just taking up too much of my precious time.
The biggest barrier I had prior to getting this was not understanding how this machine works, and ESPECIALLY on wafer paper (since it is such a delicate material). I haven't seen any videos on UA-cam showing how to use the Silhouette or CRICUT machine to cut, and I know so many of my students been asking for it, so I have decided to make this video, hoping it will help you get pass the barrier of thinking if you want to make this investment or not.
To me, it was the BEST investment I made in my wafer flower making journey.

My device do not cut it deep enough, nevertheless I had setup the ( 10 ) at the blade depth. Do you have any idea what i can change ? I tried to make it the same way like you :)
Hi dear, is your blade a new one? If it’s old maybe it’s a good time to change one. If it’s a new one, you may try a deeper blade depth. I also had to do loads of trial and error to find out which depth cuts the best for me. Let me know how it goes!
@@winifredkristecake_ thank you for this fast response 🥰. It is a new device and I tried the deepest blade depth (10) and 3 reptitions and 5 speed. But it doesn’t cut through it. Some small pieces are staying in contact with the wafer paper. If I get it out i always have some unclean edges. Hope you understand what I mean 🙈
@@jasminhofbauer7934 May I know, under "action", which blade option did you choose (is it the default auto cut or..?) and what number is your "force" at? Do play around with those numbers as well.
You don’t need to keep depth 10 , it will
Destroy Matt , mine did initially so please when you go to setting page, start with changing settings from cardboard to other option, second instead of cut set , score and auto blade options…..after that scroll down above continue ,test or modify settings is written, click on it …..speed 4 ,blade depth 4 or 5 is ok , test initially, main thing is force 22. Or 23 will work fine but please change as I told earlier from cut to score or it will damage your Matt and these settings are for wafer paper and no need for more than 2 passes
