Now you tell me. I’m 5’1,, male, ex-gymnast and a counter tenor. EVERYONE said I should have played Peter Pan
Sounds like you would be perfect for Peter Pan!
Got questions? Let me know and I’ll do my best to help you ⬇️
I've directed multiple musicals and have to say this advise is SPOT ON!
Awesome, Nick!!
The production team is also looking for people who are not only talented but also a joy to work with - especially in a community theatre production. If you don't come prepared, ask a million obvious questions, or come off as a "diva" in the process, you may lose your shot at being in the production.
Yes!! Well said
Great to know you are now working with musical theatre! Hope it is in Toronto, and we get to see your name on the credits soon!
Thanks so much!
Just got offered a place in one course and waiting to hear from another. ^^ Did my first show with a named role last month, too. What I can recommend and add to the video is for people to come prepared and invest in a portable speaker; the amount of people who run into technical issues when trying to plug into their hardware, play off the phone with bad quality or play youtube ads.
Well said! Great advice
im going to an audition for a musical in a few weeks
im gonna use this as a guide
Great video! I’ll definitely share this with our local community theatre groups!
Please do!

Hey, young singer here. Can you please make a video about how to practice singing on key? Thank you for your time man, and I love your smooth baritone voice. 😊
Absolutely! I'll add it to the list. Some quck advice for you now: if you're singing with a karaoke track or something, make sure you're singing without headphones in! Headphones can really mess with our perception of pitch. What you can also do is sing with the original recording and see how well you can sing along with the singer. For example, if I was having trouble singing "Rocketman" by Elton John, I would pull up the original recording and sing along with him. Your ear will start to recognize when you're in tune or not! Good luck
What if they ask everyone to prepare the same song from the musical? How do i stand out and be memorable?
I know this is from like three months ago but i would suggest having it almost to fully memorized and have some characterized movements that show off the character you’re going for.
