EQ Spectral Curve Comparison Mode | New Features in Cubase 10.5
Вставка

- Whether mixing or producing, the ability to easily check that all instruments occupy their own space in the frequency spectrum is a vital part of mixing a song. EQ spectral comparison mode is one of the powerful new features in Cubase 10.5, bringing even more flexibility to the Cubase MixConsole. It lets you see the EQ and spectral curve of two different channels superimposed on one equalizer display, making mixing in Cubase more efficient by being quickly able to spot sounds that clash. Being able to adjust the spectral EQ for each channel strip, while able to see the one you are comparing it to, is one of the most powerful new music production tools in Cubase 10.5.

you're my favorite cubase teacher bro! not only flying through everything any particular feature can do, but actually show us an example of how it gets used in real time, in real life. I find that so much more helpful than a generic demonstration of all the knobs and buttons - but an actual "here's what it can do, and here's me actually doing it in front of u" demo.
great stuff!
They should have done this with the Frequency EQ as well.

Hopefully they expand this feature to all of their plugins. This is so helpful. Thanks Dom.
This is such an exciting feature. Cubase is very impressive. Allowed me to get a bass and vocal sound playing nicely with one another without having to switch back and forth. I've recently learned that Cubase even has a feature that is also in Pro Tools that I always liked which basically allows you to treat an individual audio clip on a track with a plug-in, without effecting the other clips on that same track.
Thanks for this Steinie!!! Great new function that helps workflow a lot....
Next option: right click on a eq, and give the option to make them dynamic, like Fabfilter Pro-Q 3, but with respect in following the sidechain channel :)...so it only ducks when sidechain's eq range plays...you have no idea how much space you can create with that. I use the plugin Trackspace to do that, but it would be so much better if thats build in, into the standard eq.
:)
Man. You have the best Cubase information channel on UA-cam By far... Keep up the great work.
This is a tremendously important feature. Thank you for the showcase.
Can't decide if this is the best new feature... But, I've wanted fully customisable delay with various modes built into 1 for a long time.
awesome.....wish they'd set Freq EQ as the built in channel EQ...or even better, give us the option...... also hope they update the CC121 so it can control some of these new features...
I use channel EQ all the time at the beginning of my chains and this is going to make my life easier so I don't have to use a different plugin to do this exact thing lol thanks for sharing this video
bro your studio is amazing.
Looks really great! Will my CC121 controller follow the selected track for eq:ing?
Sadly this is only available in Cubase Pro
My favorite feature of Cubase10.5 Pro, excellent video BTW!
I really love if we can use whatever eq (all the includes inside cubase) in the EQ module on the channel strip, just like the compressors, saturations, tools and limit blocks. And just imagine Frequency becomes a dynamic EQ with sidechain and EQ spectral comparison mode, inside your channel strip?
how can you compare more than 2 instruments?
can you see what are the adjustments done in the EQ of BOTH instruments? THANKS
Can you re size the eq window and hide the inserts / send fx like you could do in 9.5?
Also can you re scale the eq window. As in zoom in so that fine tuning ain't a pain?
Very useful. I love it!
Excellent nouvel outil. Efficace. Workflow improved
I just use Artist and i think it wouldt be a nice feat. for artist users aswell. Greets
Incredibly useful new features! Thanks.
Just in time for my mix. V good video
Im guessing this facility is only available on the channel settings EQ, not on any other of the stock EQ's in pro 10.5
Very nice upgrade!
wow.. gr8 vid
THANKS DOM !! can i ask what computer you use?
Can we do this with...3rd party pluins???
Nice T-shirt !
Amazingly powerful tool!
it would be nice if we could compare more than 2 channels at a time. The EQ window has room for 2 more .
Merci beaucoup dude.
This is nice. I’m upgrading
Hi. In IOS in version 10.6 it doesn't appear like this. Two instruments cannot be compared. You know why? Thank you
What are those identical 88 key keyboards next to you ? I've never $een them before.
really cool feature!
I have A question, The comparision reset after change the channel and not save in projekt...???
Isnt this the guy from DrMix?
BigMuff75 It is
i reinstalled cubase 10.5 but all grooves agents instruments are missing...during loading cubase it show the warning saying "cant delete previous grooves temp folder".what can i do.will you plz help me.although i have deleted all the temp file from computer its still not working
This seems like a completely redundant feature to anyone who owns fabfilter Pro Q3... which is probably mostly everyone serious about owning the best EQ plugin on the market. Also feel it was a strange choice to add it to the channel EQ & not to the far superior frequency EQ. Who even uses a 4 band EQ these days? 4 bands was a limitation of hardware mixing desks which has been made obsolete by digital EQs for years.
My cubase pro 10 spectrum analyzer not working
Thanks. I have Fabfilter. The Orginal.
is this the same with Match EQ in Logic ?
smoooth! supersmooth.
Nice to have this in each channel, but feels a bit half-baked compared to what you can do e.g. in Neutron.
They probably leave some room for improvements in 11.
Fabfilter Pro Q3 does it even better than Neutron. You dont need to add relay type plugins, can show a sidechain signal in the analysis & use dynamic bands to duck any masked frequencies between your main & sidechain signals
etc... plus it has practically limitless number of available filter nodes
Es posible puedan traducirlo al Español ???
Klass!
Is this feature a part of Nuendo 10.2?
Not yet. Maybe in the next update.
@@terrygray7465 Bummer. Thanks for getting back to me. :)
Kurze Frage an das Cubase Entwickler Team: Warum werde ich automatisch BETA Tester, wenn ich mir das Update ZUM RELEASE kaufe?? Auf Win 10 spinnt die Software in einer unfassbaren Dimension!
Thumbs up Dom sigilas. I've followed you for long. I need a copy of cubase pro 10.5. I'll appreciate it if you give me a link to download it for free ooo.
Dobrí
i have 10.05 upfate pro and dont see the parameters on eq....lol....
no tengo audio en los tutoriales
Oof that is really good...
Hey, Steinberg! If you STOLE this feature from FabFilter Q3, why you did not translate to the end this feature?
Why these EQ spectrals doesn't shows problematic areas and do not shows where frequinces of two instrumenst are clash each othere?
And Fabfilter stole it from Izotope which in the end as far as i remember it, stole it from Steinberg hehehe... ;)
@@Simongain ROFL (NO).
nice to have this feature in the cubase channel mixer, though i almost always use fabfilter pro-q3, but the additional step with fabfilter you have to make is, you have to name each instance accordingly otherwise you have an endless list of reference options but no clue which one is the correct instance for the instrument you want to reference. so i´m curious about this feature tbh
KEEK DRUM
meh, spectrum analysers are useless.. they really are.. Add a sonogram showing clashes and we're talking. Do people really use spectrum analysers? Seriously?
What's better?
@@Beatsmyth262 I literally just said sonogram in my post.
Noob question: why are sonograms superior and what's wrong with spectrum analysers. I sure see them used all the time by pros. Are they all wrong ? Is there any use for them ?
And isn't a sonogram just a freeze frame of a spectrum analyser ?
Reason for my confusion- this Google definition popped up at the top for a spectrum analyser: "A machine that produces a spectrum is usually called a spectrum analyzer. In other fields, the machine is called a spectrograph or spectrometer. Sometimes this is called a sonogram"
downgrade design with 10 version, used to be "soft" design, and now, eye pain . Love cubase, give me Cubase 8 design color please
He’s got it setup that way. You can set it how you like
