  • It's been a while, but we went back up to Badger's dump in excitement to pull some great finds. Unfortunately, it didn't go exactly as planned. Watch to find what we managed to pull from the ground at 14 feet deep.

    I love that you elders pass along your passion for and knowledge of old bottle digging to younger folks. Bluing was indeed for laundry...most notably for making whites look whiter.

    You Know guys I hate to see that. But at least you were able to hang out with the Badger. That's always a plus. Does the Badger have a channel?

      He does not have a UA-cam channel yet, but he really wants to get one up soon.

      We do appreciate the feedback. We use a GoPro because they are basically indestructible. Unfortunately, it seems that they aren't the best of focusing or capturing detail up close.

    I’m curious. If I wanted to try digging. Do I get the homeowners permission. Or if public land, do I need to get a permit for a site or is there a blanket permit to cover multiple sites? A separate permit required for state and federal lands. Do you have to fill the dig back in. Thanks.

    Omg worried if soil caves in as you dig deep

      You should always be careful when you go deep, and that's why it's important to dig with other people so they can alert you of potential falls. Halfway down in this dump, the ground gets really hard and that helps prevent some collapses.

      We were hoping so, but it just ended up being a dry dig. You never know what is going to come out.

    • @cloverdalediggers
      @cloverdalediggers  3 роки тому

      No, Benita. We found a lot of pieces to it but still missing a large piece from the back. Not quite enough to glue back together.

      There are parts of this dump that only go a few feet down and still have some great stuff. We've been working in this hole because we pulled out some really nice bottles a few feet behind us back in the beginning of this year. They were probably 24 feet down. We have enough fun doing it that we don't mind going a few extra feet.
