i just wanna say that these stardew randos have been a huge comfort series for me. i don't even have experience with any of the games here besides dlc quest (played it back when it was an XBLA game) but the way you explain things makes this series so easy to follow even for someone who isn't too familiar with the source material. also, moo
Yes, with the current version of the game, the number of floors you fall down is seeded. Specifically based upon the current mine level, the unique ID for the game and the total number of days (added together). This also means if a particular floor has you drop 15 levels today, the floor above will drop 15 levels tomorrow.
Damn, that circuit network find sure put a huge dent in your "only send gifts on birthdays" approach for friendsanity... the randomizer sure loves throwing curveballs at you all the time! Imagine if it had been a non-datable NPC with a Spring Birthday... Definitely was funny watching your new approach in your async beta stream after this incident occurred! That shuffle trap was great as well. Can't believe it happened after the first check as well... couldn't have waited until you at least finished all those boat checks? Jodi must be have been really disappointed with the smallmouth bass that you got her if it made her want to launch a missile strike on some guy many planets away... Looking forward to more! Moo!
I can see now that it's smart to sorta stay in logic when doing a multiworld, or else Factorio would have been locked for a long, long time. Especially since Haley's bday is in spring, it's lucky that I married her. But yes in the beta async I tried to get all the early checks I could in case of missing something essential!

Awesome to hear that the series is enjoyable even without playing the games before!
