Our Army has lost interest in desi guns. Multiple Ex-army veterans have said in the interviews that they prefer AKs over anything. They suggested that modified AKs are the best option.
yes, because the Aks are reliable than any other guns. Itll fire even if in worst conditions. western ARs are good, but require regular maintenance.
because AK gun is the best. legendary gun. Stats based gun sirf pubg mai kaam krti hai real life mai army aise hi gun prefer krti hai jiska maintenance km ho

AK parts are still imports from Russia china Belarus belgharia and Ukraine but for past 3 years Ukraine banned on imports. The indians only make stamped receivers

Our Legendary Army is acquiring AK-203 and SIG-716 so there is no point developing new Guns for Army. But DRDO should sell this to Paramilitary and CAPF.
CAPF, CISF and other paramilitary forces have already procured carbines & AR from Trichy based psu to replace INSAS.
One of the condition that SSS defence had to overcome was not having a full fledged manufacturing facility when their gun was being considered by IA. And now we have a totally new vendor who is neither experienced and don't know if they have production facility.
SSS defence had high quality designs I am surprised they were not selected
Yes, well said. I am also surprised that they are not selected

Yes the firearms, and Jet Engines are weak points of Indian military. Cost effective but realistically is also main concern. Hopefully within few years this issues will be sorted out. Jai Bharat 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳☝️😊
Also submarine building
Also, aircraft carrier , UAV and transport aircraft and many more
bhai armed forces ki requirements bhi starwars level ki hoti hai kaha se drdo pura karega , mai sach bata raha hu AAP logo ko drdo ka performance bahut acha hua hai , lekin armed forces ka import lobby khatam nahi hua hai.

You are absolutely correct, let's judge this weapon once it completes field trials. The potential for exports are also there for nations whose technical requirements differ from India s.
SSS defence should be given an opportunity instead of going abroad to work with DRDO and make a new gun as per Indian Defence requirements
army has selected their sniper rifles already
@@vipulkumar8101 which one and how many numbers are ordered?
Nobody went abroad for this project.

Should have last round bolt hold open and bolt release tab...safety should be ambidextrous...gas should be adjustable and mag release tab should be made slightly wider so that mag can be released by trigger finger on hitting release tab easily....mag should ease out smoothly from mag well on release...all the best drdo...👍

2:13 Curious if you meant 7.62x51 rather than 5.56x51. At 2:25 you did mention 7.62x51.
Thanks for continuing to provide detailed information and analysis on your channel.
Yea, same query.
If u look drdo poster it clearly mentioned 7.62×51
The dimensions don’t seem to suggest 5.56mm , it appears to be 7.62mm design.
Feeling bad for SSS Defence 😢
Why ? Another company with equal interest in weapons technology should also get a chance.

Lots of IIT's lying around but Nobody can make a Simple bloody Near Perfect Assault Rifle in our country , what a shame.
Not like that.
Let them get conducive environment.
It is taking time.
But it WILL happen.
india, indian govt, indian politicians, indian people - these are not a good environment to do research and development.. that's why big brains are going to the US.
In this hostile environment and a system which is a continuation of the British system (using Civil servants to control and rule the country).
Trust me guys Indian Army and Air Force needs a complete 180 degree reform, they are still seeing things through world war era lense. Truly our soldiers are like true brave warriors but these decision making babus have costed a lot to our forces and brave soldiers.
Indian Navy is far far ahead of this because they know how things change fast in oceans.
Mark my words Indian Navy will be the first one to bring: AI & innovation, Quantum computing, Cybersecurity, Semiconductors and other critical tech into the forces.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't a 20-bullets mag an issue, troops will have to carry 9 mags for any operation
With .45 you carry more rounds but thn you have other issues like stoping power etc.
I never understand why they have to use the gas operated system in heavy caliber as we all know it has too much recoil.
As I am not that good at it I just want to know.
Self loading feature is easier to achieve thru gas operation.
Every firearm action is based on gas operating system except a bolt action rifle.
Sig ka ek complaint mai baar baar Twitter pe dekh raha tha wo tha metallic pic rail hand guard… experienced people were complaining that it’s not suitable for non gloved hands and is very uncomfortable to handle… thus very hard to manage the recoil… probably isi vajah se hand guard thoda ergonomic banaya gaya hai taki handling achhe se comfortably ho
Dirt cheap Bina video dekhe hi bol sakta hu
Cost bachane ke liye ak ka magizne lock
Ak jaise looks
Dikkaat ye nahi hai dikaat hai relaiblity agar ye sig Sauer ke brabar performance de to Sahi hai varna ye bhi
Obviously ye fail hi Hogi
arre pappu tere liya nhi hai to thand rakh
Test hone se pehle Maan liya yeh fail hoga .. just because a youtuber raised questions.. tere jaisa aadmi log drdo me nahi hai.
It will also go to cold basta after rigourous trials from desert to mountains by IA. Last update was that Insas upgrade, Sig Sauer already in order, AK 203 steadily picking pace in production, varities of AR rifles, US M1A1 series, CQBs, bullup design of IAI rifles in services with Para SFs, Garud com, Marcos...this rifles r developed for CPFs or State police...
It's basically an insas firing 7.62 and with updated furniture
Yes, looks like it, but I am no guns expert.
Aesthetic is still not a thing in our defence products.. Still hope the gun performs good and get at list some orders..
You're correct. Most ugliest rifle I ever seen. Aesthetic should also be considered.
It's not that DRDO can't make rifles that looks like western modern rifles give them accessories like red dot sight, front hand grip, adjustable buttstock, adjustable pistol grip, picatinny rails. It's actually the Indian Army biggest user these guns don't want all of that.
They want a rifle to be simple, drill friendly, fighting friendly, less weight, highly accurate, optimum performance from Rann of Kutch to Siachen glacier at a very low price.
INSAS family and world full of AKs variants IA has is the best thing you can get checking all boxes of checkbox.
Comment section mein DRDO ko gaali dene se pehle IA ki pasand ko toh deklo...
Nope.
DRDO has very low budget. Very low.
@@OO27itna bhi low nahi hai mere bhai
Honestly even western rifles are usually not overly sophisticated. FN and SiG make simple, robust rifles. The fancy ones are reserved for special forces and foreign legions. The average infantry cannot effectively bear the logistics of so much equipment.
@@someonejustsomeone1469 but it looks cool
Current IMI Galil family is the 2nd best battle rifle ever made after the 1st gen AK 47. Fight me in the comments!
It's too cold to quarrel yaar!
Doob ke mar jao, galil 2nd best
Ugram . Galil jaisa he h specs
Lol I agree with you, Infact India cld do something better here combining best things about Ak platforms and Ar, and its that simple, why do we keep failing to properly make a rifle is beyond me
From what I heard the accuracy of this gun and range is good . From the looks we can tell cocking is from INSAS and gas piston and maxine style is from AK . I believe firing mechanics are similar to AR. As of now it looks decent one. The only thing I will be conserned is to pass the testing in all wheather and have scopes and front hand grips developed after it.
It is short stroke gun so it's working is different from ak 47 and is similar to m4
@@SanjaySingh-nv5pk That explains the accuracy like he mentioned firing similar to AR . Less parts on move.
Accuracy, yes but it is similar to me action it would require frequent cleaning and action would not be as robust as ak
@@SanjaySingh-nv5pk It’s similar case as SIG 716 . Army is prepared to that so why not?.
@@SanjaySingh-nv5pkwho told you only short stroke piston needs frequent cleaning? Every rifles needs cleaning they are machine they need maintenance.
Sir what is koral electronic warfare system acquired by Pakistan Air Force
Mujhe Front Sight setup thoda odd laga
Otherwise hopefully yeh ek "Ambidextrous" design ho.
Not a gun expert, so can't tell much by just looking at it, but at first glance the quality seems... just OK. However, this is just a prototype (the one and only), and hopefully mass-produced items will be better. I personally prefer the removable front handle: provides better control than just cupping the fairing/furniture ahead of the magazine.
Make a video on recent developments on 110kn engine by ROLLS ROYCE.
Is it not possible for armed forces to keep old gen INSAS for drills, while including vertical hand grip in GSQR for better handling stability? Since, tests are still pending, I think there will be further refinements. Hence, we must wait and watch.
2:16 : aap to bol rhe h ki 5.56 but aage aapne bola ki this gun is 7.62x51.
I'm confused 🤔
Search Ak74😂
its basically as ak47 but with insas dna which is the request of higher rank officer i guess because i believe putting your hand near the muzzle reduce range of view whereas a handle would be better but increase the cost. hope they know what they ask for and seem they choose conventional instead of modernize warfare in mind.
Few questions
1) is the fire selector ambidextrous
2) it the butt AK type or an AR type
3) doesn’t look like it has a floating barrel ( reduces its chance to become a DMR)
Thanks for the video
I'm a novice in gun specs. Can you tell the difference between AK and AR. I think AR butt means Assault Rifle, then what does AK butt mean, does it mean it being similar to the AK family of rifles?
Well, in my opinion development should be iterative… that said first make a proof of concept to study the feasibility and then later add features. Ambi controls are easy to add… and about butt… it seems like it has a buffer tube like ARs to manage recoil as it is a light weight rifle. So butts can be modified later.
About the floating barrel, it could be added later as it is not a necessity… I believe having an ergonomic hand guard was more important than floating barrel… as of now it beats AK in range so that also can added later on user’s requirement
@@manthanpole7980 ar is armalite family of rifles.
@@someonejustsomeone1469 Thankyou very much for the information.👍
Based on pictures circulating around alone
1) Cant tell as with only one side pic but looks like it is from design, if not already would be easily possible.
2) Fixed but 3 way adjustable
3) Fixed barrel
Today while watching this video one question came to my mind.
Why don't armed forces use no-recoil guns? Is it just because of cost or is there anything more to it?
Cost, maintenance, durability. Russians tried this with AN-94 and AK-107; but they were too delicate to be widely issued.
why do you care, npc from unknown region of internet!
@@amansharmabhau thanks 👍
The specs refered in the video is confusing. Is the bullet 7.62 x 51 or 5.56 x 51. Does the gun fire at the rate of 600 bullets/min, i.e 10 bullets/sec - needs to be checked. Magzine will empty in 2 seconds. Nobody can do fine control to fire 3-4 bullets per burst.
Rs 16 lakhs / piece appears to be good value.with good 100% margin. I always had a question for high costs - absolute loot. Can anybody give the reason for higher costs when bought in bulk.
AK203 issue has been going on for 3-4 years. Currency issue has come up only an year back.
How different/same is this from Trichy, Excalibur, Ghatak, Insas 1C, etc?
Also DRDO-AWEIL JVPC & close quarter battle carbine
Trichi gun looks so much like the AK
How is this any different than a Galil? It appears to have a direct copy of the AK fire control group and is a long stroke piston driven rifle.
Actually Ishapore Rifle Factory IAR Assault Rifle was accepted by Ministry of Home Affairs and is of same caliber as Urgram rifle...
In 16 Lacs, even building a acceptable prototype seems a tall order; leave alone tooling for mass production

I'm always in favour of indigenous platforms. Firearm is a basic platform and we should not depend on imports for basic requirements. We should go for this.
Somewhere I read that they made 10 pieces for testing purpose. 16 lakh for all that is good.
Subodh bhai, is DRDO developing any long range stealthy cruise missile like 🇺🇸AGM-58 JASSM & LRASM ?
Respectful language these days Parliament language no more RESPECTFUL LANGUAGE
I hope 1.6cr ke jagah Typo error se 16 lakh likhdiya ho.
I cannot imagine how can any Pvt player that too a new one produce prototypes at such low cost.
For reference: L1 is 16 lakh
L2 is 1cr (SSS Defence)
L3 is 2cr
Stability is more important than drill...
During the war, show of drills don't not help. Only, stable, accuracy, High velocity rate of fire is needed
That’s a insas in black colour, wow drdo, nice innovation.
Cocking handle big problem
Banana aana bhi chahiye
Front guard big problem

Sir,
Aapne bola ki Comment ke dauran Language "Parliamentory" hi rakhiyega.
Toh kya Comment section me GALIYAN bhi likh sakte hain ?
Ya phir Language ko DECENT rakhna hai ?
A majority government like the present one, should completely reform govt purchase rules, L1 tendering, nc nc trials etc which come in the way of involving industry. It's got so difficult to even write RFP's and it's comical that experts have to be hired to write procurement documents, which are also usually flawed.
We should focus on the comfort and reliability.
Its good ! Can we sreate AI enabled scope, which can target enemy. I am not expert. Since such tech if clubbed with this gun will give a affordable, advanced weapon
Plz make a video in sss defense gun family and why IA and Govt are not choosing them even when they seem to be the best option qualitywise.
According to major gaurav Arya the cartridge of this weapon is 7.62 mm
Looks cumbersome and based on AK series gas operated series. Which means more recoil and less accuracy. The magazine will be a problem. Even with picatinny rails anti slip hand guards looks less room for improvement. Indian army needs lots of modern gun for specialized unit's and for infantry. Modern warfare dictates modern equipments but alas our govt is taking too long in modernization of our armed forces.
Aaj ke market me pricing bahot bada role play krti hai
Ho sakta hai company ne minimum 1000 pieces ke production ke baad padne wala price rkha ho samne
Qki jb order place honge to 1000 se jyada ke hi honge
To q na phle se hi sahi price manage kre to tender jeetne ke chance me price. Problem na bane
The Government is funding so many projects. For the sake of Make in India, they may encourage promising small companies by providing funds at the initial stages for making prototypes. Later, if the products are good, they may be given small orders. Sig Saur and AK 203 are our best bets and there is no need to waste time on checking other foreign prototypes.
I think our private defence companies should start doing research and devlopment independent of drdo like in USA
There is no mention of UBGL attachment. Is there a UBGL mount?
Bhai drdo ko kya problem Hai 30 ya 40 round ki magazine ku nai banat
16 lakhs mai ek assault rifle ka prototype bnana khud mai hi Kamal ki baat hai.
Bilkul sahi baat bola hai
POV: A youtuber who never fired a gun in his life
I don't understood what can't OFB just develop a modernized version of SLR (FN-FAL) with:-
(1) Key-Mod Rails
(2) Picatinny Rails
(3) An 18-inch Barrel
(4) Semi-Auto & Full Auto modes
(5) Foldable & Expandable Buttstock
OFB should also use AK-74's design to develop a 5.56x45mm rifle as a replacement of INSAS.
Mujhe lagta hai ke drdo ko SSS defence ke saath colab karna chahiye tha assault rifle k liye . 16 lakh wala gun totally waste of money hai
2:13 pe aap ney calibre 5.56x51 bola hai, yeh nayi calibre hai kya 😮
Bhaiya par itne sare different caliber ke bullets ke guns kya zerurat hai..already insas rafale hai..ak 47 be hai jo mere ko nahi laag tha ke retyer hone wala hai...upper se sig 717 be aa rehe hai..AK 203 aur AK 103 be aa rehe hai.. tho ak aur gun ke kya jerurat aur magazine size mai be bauth difference hai.. tho combat operation ke time pe problem hi sak thee hai na...
Anybody can manufacture guns
However what matters the most is, how do these guns perform in various conditions vis a vis comparison with other foreign guns. Design needs to be desirable and operationally capable for various mission, here the design looks obsolete. Best example is Trichi assault rifle, ghatak assault rifle, amogh, excaliber. Alfa defence is absolutely right with its logic.
SSS, kalyani, adani, now this one. there are several rifles developed by indian firms. will see if any of it gets huge export order or indian army order. India needs its own AK
आत्मनिर्भर भारत ❤
Gun experts are correct, this guns design is superior to insas.
If insas is analogous to galil then this gun is analogous to sig 550.
Milled two part reciever helps rectify the biggest issues with AK for modern usage.
Even russians are also trying to develop a similar design.
Traditional ak 1 piece stamped reciever with top cover is not a very scope friendly design.
It's critical component is not manufactured by private firm.
Fn fal (slr) ka advance version ya modified version hain bhai or kuch nhai....
Indian army should really test this out throughly and also one more thing India should look away from AK and focus on M4 and guns of 5.56 NATO Calibre
सबसे पहले अच्छा बख्तर और प्राथमिक उपचार की आवश्यकता है तो शायद कुछ लोगों को बचाया जा सके
Not looked immpesive, highbreed of India's and SLR, relibelity ?
Looks like an AK in Insas clothing with updated furniture
We have to promote such new startups. Aapka video ka through yeh information mila, kindly ye company ka details share kariye
This video was made without reading through details. The cost of 16 lakhs doesn't include any form intellectual property rights, development, testing or research. Dvipa was engaged purely for manufacturing of a prototype. Post prototype the rifle has to undergo massive amount of testing in real world conditions. You should be a lot more careful before jumping the gun. Post trials manufacturing will be done by vendors who can provide scale and quality.
They only come out with the same old design copies of AKs. Cant even think of making a modular design..IA should rely more on its technical team to come out with a new design like the ASMI.
I have a question how far our Arms Act and civilian gun policy "license Raj" affecting production of in-house firearms? should it be liberalized; as we know forces across the world both state and non-state love AK as its reliability is unquestioned in close quarter encounters. Our Army will prefer AK/SiG any day.
India won't be able to accommodate such lifestyle.
hello sir what happens to SSS Defence assault rifles
7.62X51 ki Cartage k lia iska berral length short messoos hota hai.
Jo v hai, Over all iska Design INSAS ki tra ka hi hai or hopefully ya Gas operating system hi use krti hogi.
For me Ya INSAS hi hai o v 7.62x51 k chamber k sath or kuj Batter material k sath.
Acha development hai but agr ya Thoda sa haat k design kia jata to frr behtr hota.
Gas pipe connection with barrel doesn't look good, need more modifications to look better
Its great saga of our army for standard combat rifle
It is AK like long stroke gas system with no adjustability and a Bren-2 Fire Control System. And, that cheap looking hand guard could have been avoided by a M LOK rail System like the Sigs.
I donot know... I am not technical but is SS defence no good, if not so what's problem with INA in procuring their battle gun
Govt should not think about cost. Nation security is first.
Indian companies should export these guns to Latin America and African markets!
If any foreign option is available this project will meet dead end😢
Aur ladai ke time army wale bhag ke DRDO aur Indian private firms ke pas hi ayenge jaise Kargil ke time hua tha .
Not if someone who knows how serious this thing is, is in the office.

Dear honorable army head and ministers of our BHARAT, if you all viewing this the most important thing should be is it well optimised for all suitable weather, wear-tear, and its guarantee of long term service policy. If everything is good them most of guns(AR) available around the world then the price will also doesn't matter because life of a soldier does to us.
Don't worry guys Indian Army will find some fault in the gun and they will reject this. Indian Army fight foreigners with foreign weapons.
Problem is not the rifle. Problem is the cartridge, the calibre.
5.56x45 mm is not upto the requirements of the army.
Why the army does not clearly state that they need a one shot 'knockdown' capable cartridge?
6.5mm grendel is a great cartridge for all requirements of the army. But our army top brass have probably never heard of it.
Samajh me to kuch nhi aaya
Par sun kar bahut accha laga

Leaving aside the developmental cost for the time being,we 1st have to understand which all technical improvements hss been done in this new rifle?all-round piccatiny rail is a +,what about recoil reduction any muzzle break incorporated?provision for fitting any suppresor?& a battle rifle weighing 4kgs is not a small weight,a fully loaded battle rifle should not cross 3.5kgs,extensive use of composite mtrl & aircraft grade aluminium should be used & why still stuck in 5.56?while are procuring 7.62 calibres in various forms!!
