Yankees fan checking in here (one of the more respectful ones) - that was a really informative listen in terms of considering things from the Astros’ perspective with regards to a possible Tucker trade. I think obviously there’s apprehension about trading with a rival from both sides, but from what I’m hearing, the Yankees really might be able to put together the best package, and the Yankees should be super motivated to fill the void after losing Soto. I think the idea for the Yankees would be to play Tucker in left and Judge in right, with Dominguez in center if an agreement could be reached.
If it were up to me, Luis Gil would be very hard to part with (especially to see him in an Astros uniform going forward), but Kyle Tucker is obviously an excellent talent and you’ve gotta give value to get value in trades like this. As such, I think the Yankees should be open to sending Gil for Tucker. In regard to the idea of a three way trade with the Astros, Cubs and Yankees, I don’t think the Yankees would part with Gil if they were only ending up with Bellinger, but if Tucker were going to end up a yankee, that’s a different story.
What do you guys and/or the folks in the comments here think about this proposal:
    Luis Gil or Clarke Schmidt
OF Spencer Jones (AA) or 1B Ben Rice (AAA/MLB)
SP Chase Hampton (AAA) and/or SP Will Warren (AAA/MLB)
    SS George Lombard jr (A+)
So a total of 4-5 players headlined by Luis Gil or Clarke Schmidt for Kyle Tucker
    Am I in the ballpark?

I don't think Cashman is going to make this trade. Reports are the Yankees only offered low-level minor league players. I quote the report as "crap".
Astros will require more from the Yankees, I believe, and Cashman does not want to be the guy that overpaid to the Astros. His ego won't let him.
I'd trade Tucker for Gil and Dominguez/Oswald Peraza and 1 high level prospect but that's just me.
For Cubs, I'm asking for Paredes, Suzuki and Cam Smith prospect OR Paredes, Smith, Cassie, Shaw.

For sure, but Jim Crane is not the owner of Yankess or Dodgers. My point, Yankees and Dodgers are the MLB dynasty teams with will know naming for merchandise rights that make revenue for the team. However, Jim Crane should have taken a gamble after winning 2022 world series. and paid the money to keep some players and get players for 2023/2024 in my opinion. I know rambling nonsense, but Its my own opinion.

Smith has never played above AA and he is projected to be MLB ready in 2027. His numbers have declined each time he has been promoted from A to A+ to AA. He may turn out to be quite ok, but nothing certain there.
Wicks was promoted from AAA to MLB in 2024 and brought his 5.5 ERA with him. No thanks.
I think Paredes would be ok but he is nothing special either. Cubs would have to do better than what you propose.
