I grew up with Snow Bros, I love it dearly. It's my favorite game of all time, no joke I'm so glad that people are still covering it! Also, fun fact, not only is a remake of Snow Bros 2 in the works, but also a FULLY ORIGINAL new game called Snow Bros Wonderland!
Snow Bros is amazing! I love going back to it every few years. Also yeah, I discovered both the Snow Bros 2 remake and Wonderland while doing research for this video. Snow Bros 2 is sitting on my steam wishlist!
Very nice video! The arcade and genesis ports are definitely my to go to versions of the game. I was actually very disappointed with snow bros special, I didn’t like the art style, the additional 30 levels is a bit unnecessary and new bosses look like they were ripped from a mobile rpg game. The additional content in the genesis port at least has some fun levels and the boss designs are pretty cool. But I just beat the 3 harpies and the king, without using continues. Their moves are just too hard to predict, especially when the Snow bros are too slow to do anything without power ups. By time I beat the 3 harpies, I just feel so exhausted and just wanted the game to be over with. If special included the arcade version then maybe it would be worth the $20 but otherwise I’m sticking to arcade and the genesis version. Also, very excited for snow bros 2 remake.
Yeah. I feel that. The harpies pissed me off sooooo much since I started on hard mode and the king.....UGH! It was more manageable on normal. Personally I do think they should have included the arcade port in the game since it's never gotten a proper console release before, but I do think that if you wait for one of Amazon's many sales of the game, which I did. $15 for the game with the DLC is a pretty good deal. Still wish I bought the collectors edition when I had the chance though. I want those plushies! Also yeah, got Snow Bros 2 on the wishlist.
@@InfiniteComboReviews It's in one of my favorite consoles, it has my favorite of renditions of most the Snow Bros OST (+ the theme of the extra stages), I not only really like it's art style but it also had a huge influence in my art style and I really just going through it from time to time. I get it why it's nowhere near the best version, considering all of the glitches and design choices, but I still really like that version to the point where it once even was my favorite game. I've seen and played that game from practically top to botton, both the Japanese and US versions. I've noticed things like: how there's an enemy which never appears in the game at the end sequence after you beat the sun; how Death Pumpkin has been reduced to nothing in this version due to the sprite limit, making him unable to shot ghosts at you; that in the US version the game sometimes skips levels and in the Japanese version you can sometimes skip 8-9 floors due to a screen transition glitch, The stage 00 glitch, which happen when you try selecting 00 in the stage select; being able to perform a double jump in the Japanese version by kicking a snow ball in the air; or simply how you shoot snow beams at different rates and speeds between the US and Japanese versions.
@@ryandher-g Oh wow. Playing both the US and Japanese versions. That's dedication right there! It's pretty clear that you've gone all in on this version. Its pretty rare when I play a game so much that I start finding every little tip and trick like that. Maybe the old TMNT games, but that would be it for me. Still, awesome stuff. I do wish older gameboy titles got the love they deserve.
