  • In this conversation on retreat at Cliff College, we used Zoom recording for the first time to observe social distancing for the guests. John talks about:
    - when we are present there are no doubts and no questions
    - the world of change takes place in changelessness
    - 'Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth.'
    - spiritual life usually requires much patient practice
    - what happens, happens naturally
Did you know you can now listen to John on Spotify and other audio platforms? Here is his most popular recording 'Common sense guide to meditation' - ffm.to/commons....

Those wanting more detailed accounts of John's life experience - the formative influences, which have taught and made him what he is, will find it in his 7 published books, available through the website: www.spiritualunfoldment.co.uk/store.
Retreat guests asked if the sample t-shirt was more widely available in different size and colours. They are now - / @spiritualunfoldment

I saw the same light in Hannah Hauxwell's eyes. 'Wherever I am, whatever I am, this is me, this will always be me' seeing no separation between herself and the Yorkshire Dales. Cue tears in her eyes.
Sadly, I discovered her videos on youtube after she had passed and tears came to my eyes when realizing I couldn't communicate to her my words of gratitude.
Thank you John and Phil for your work, wisdom and for enabling this communication. My words here can't confess my gratitude, though I'm sure you comprehend my dearest silent well wishes and thanks.
From a Lincolnshire chap now dwelling in America aged 30/a vegan who I'm sure has no greater love for animals than yourself or Hannah Hauxwell,

No. He lives on in silence and thus becomes infinite. If anything he will be closer to us then than he is in his current state. Nevertheless, it will be sad as an earthly loss. That much is true. But as far as the spirit, well it’s up to those that look to him for guidance and wisdom to carry it on by living through the silence that he has simple become. For whatever it is, I love this man and his calming demeanor and seemingly never ending beauty of sharing his life’s findings in the ways of stories and spirit. He’s a treasure

Not eating or paying for any exploitation of animals was me being true to myself. I used to eat meat and the someone said to me 'if I can't kill it, I wont eat it'. That made sense to me and I went vegetarian. 14 years later i've been vegan for 2 years. I believe we're all different but I believe at least 80% of the people I know who eat meat, aren't willing to kill it themselves. This is where the huge imbalance in life lies, people go against their own instincts because it's not them causing the suffering first hand, so they can just brush it off and pretend it's not happening. If you would happily kill an animal and eat it then that's just how you are. I can't say if you're right for doing so or wrong because I don't know anything. I just know that from my personal perspective, killing animals goes against every fibre of my being, so why would I pay someone else to do it for me.

I agree. I became vegan many years ago and find it so difficult to cope with the cruelty to animals and the rationalization of those who continue to exploit animals for food, clothing, entertainment, etc. I also find it hard to grasp that spiritual leaders are not all vegan; to me that is totally contradictory. We need to share off the conditioning that tells us it is ok to inflict pain on living beings.

It was a good analigy for purpose ' True !
Although there is a little more symbolic meaning in Saint George's defeating the dragon ?
I would say' it is to the overcoming of Idolatry .
Also I beleave he was Martyred.
There are many version's and interpretations about this story ?
The Ortherdox Church has an acount of St George ' but it is a mystery too ?
Ofcourse ,as John said ,it does come down to the light defeating the darkness
The Red Cross of Saint George is to the Christian mystery 'but if you don't know, you don't know...

    Hi!
    I'm not here for questions.
I just wanted to say thank you.
I understand exactly what you say. I know you have seen what I have seen, surely differently but the core is the same and gives the same answers.
I'm pleasured to know someone who understands these things.
They knew it from the start!
Many old cults, myths and beliefs said that we're all a part of God.
I like to go further. I see God as a light in a room with infinite mirror, each being a little different from the previous one.
Everything then is a reflexion of God.
We're in a fractal while we are a fractal.
And the seemingly binary world we live on is an illusion. Because all is one.
And then, still, there's questions. But tell me, which is the wisest way of life? To chase answers about life till your death, or to decide to live life to the fullest?
