    Life after 70 isn't just about aging-it's about transformation. If you are 70-80 years old, this is your time to redefine your journey, let go of what no longer serves you, and embrace what truly matters. In this video, I share the habits and mindsets I’ve released, from quitting mindless spending to valuing sleep, and how these changes have opened doors to peace, joy, and a renewed sense of purpose.

    👉 Letting Go of Working Just to Stay Busy: Ever feel like you’re just working out of habit? Discover how releasing the constant need to be busy has allowed me to focus on what truly matters-like spending time with loved ones and embracing moments of rest. If you are 70-80 years old, imagine how much more fulfilling life can be when you work with intention.

    🛒 Quitting Mindless Spending: In a world that pushes us to buy more, it’s easy to fall into the trap of mindless purchases. I learned to spend with intention, choosing experiences and items that add true value to my life. If you are 70-80 years old, think about how freeing it would be to let go of impulse buys and focus on what truly brings you joy.

    🧘‍♀ Prioritizing Self-Care Over Pleasing Others: Putting yourself first isn’t selfish-it’s essential. If you are 70-80 years old, imagine how much more you could give if you took care of yourself first. I’ve learned that by embracing self-care, I’m better equipped to be there for others.

    🚫 Saying No to Overcommitting : Saying yes to everything often comes at the cost of our peace. Learning to say no has empowered me to focus on commitments that truly serve me. If you are 70-80 years old, it’s never too late to reclaim your time and energy by setting healthy boundaries.

    🛌 Valuing Sleep as a Cornerstone of Health : Sleep is the foundation of well-being. If you are 70-80 years old, prioritize rest to wake up feeling refreshed and ready to embrace each day. It’s one of the most rewarding changes you can make for your mind, body, and soul.

    🔑 If you are 70-80 years old, every day is an opportunity to live with intention, joy, and gratitude. Letting go of old habits and mindsets has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I hope my journey inspires you to reflect on what you might need to release to live more fully.

    ✨ If you found these insights valuable, don’t keep them to yourself! Like, comment, and share your thoughts on what you’re letting go of and what new habits you’re embracing. And don’t forget to subscribe to the *“Goha Journey”* channel for more inspiring stories and wisdom designed to enrich your life. Let’s continue to support each other in living with purpose, joy, and gratitude. Together, we can make every day count! 🙌

      @@lindavernon8051 also beware of the negativity from your nearest and dearest and the medical profession, following a stroke the consultant who undoubtedly saved my life issued a list of things I couldn’t do, my wife picked up on this and was constantly reminding me of the traumatic event when I was determined to get my life back to normal,it really destroyed my mental health people’s good intentions are not always beneficial so with any health issue research what might help you but do not rely absolutely on the health service as they don’t necessarily get it right always question your need for medication and any side effects apart from not driving I can now do almost everything at least to my liking and hopefully improvement Will continue stay strong and look out for yourself it is not being selfish just sensible

    I find after 70 that letting go of friends and coworkers who have passed is happening a lot more often. Perhaps it would be a good subject for a future video. Willie Nelson has a new album: "Last Leaf on the Tree." One song "Last Leaf" has lyrics "I fight off the snow. I fight off the hail. Nothing makes me go." That's the spirit!

    I am 69 years old and I am a long-term survivor with HIV. My 20s and 30s were filled with losing friends and wondering when I would get sick. I have felt like I am living in a canoe that tips over with the slightest movement. After a long quiet period I am grieving deaths of friends and family all over again, when it usually happens. I am trying to have confidence that I am healthy enough to be enjoying my life and taking small risks but I don't know. This is jumbled and not exactly what I wanted to say but there it is.

    • @gohajourney
      @gohajourney  Місяць тому

      Thank you for sharing your story. It sounds like you've been through a lot, and it's understandable to feel a mix of emotions given your experiences. Living with HIV and the loss of friends and family can be incredibly challenging, and it's important to acknowledge the strength it takes to navigate these feelings.
      Here are a few thoughts that might help:
      1. **Acknowledge Your Journey**: You've shown incredible resilience by surviving and thriving through such difficult times. It's okay to feel a range of emotions, including grief, uncertainty, and hope.
      2. **Grieving is a Process**: Grief can resurface at different times, and it's a natural part of life, especially when you've experienced significant loss. Allow yourself the space to grieve and remember those you've lost.
      3. **Celebrate Your Health**: It's wonderful that you're healthy and considering enjoying life and taking small risks. Focus on the things that bring you joy and fulfillment, and celebrate the milestones you've achieved.
      4. **Seek Support**: Connecting with others who understand your experiences can be incredibly helpful. Consider joining support groups or talking to a therapist who specializes in grief or chronic illness.
      5. **Take Small Steps**: Building confidence in your health and life can start with small, manageable steps. Whether it's trying a new activity, reconnecting with friends, or setting personal goals, each step can help you feel more grounded.
      6. **Be Kind to Yourself**: It's okay to have days when you feel uncertain or overwhelmed. Be gentle with yourself and recognize that it's part of the healing process.
      Remember, you're not alone in this journey, and reaching out for support is a sign of strength. Take care of yourself, and know that it's okay to seek joy and fulfillment in life. 🌟

    Release the burden of past mistakes. Focus on lessons learned rather than what could have been.

      Absolutely! 🌿 Releasing the weight of past mistakes allows us to move forward with a clearer mind and lighter heart. Instead of dwelling on what could have been, focusing on the lessons we've gained empowers us to grow and make better choices. Life is all about learning and evolving. When I reached that age, I removed all of the things that were draining my life and my bank account, starting with the wife, the car, the house, and any other unnecessary burden.I moved into a government subsidized apartment and took up the MGTOW lifestyle. NOW life is good!

    • @gohajourney
      @gohajourney  2 місяці тому

      It sounds like you've made significant changes to reclaim control over your life and found peace in simplifying and removing burdens. Adopting the MGTOW lifestyle has clearly been a transformative decision for you, allowing you to live on your own terms and feel more fulfilled. It's empowering to see how you’ve embraced this new chapter with clarity and freedom.

    To everyone over sixty please don’t wait for 70 to reboot your life start sooner as it will take a few years to unlearn old habits of constant work and feeling guilty if you just sit and read a book my sister used to say to me you are a long time dead,

    • @gohajourney
      @gohajourney  Місяць тому

      That's such valuable advice! 🌟 Starting earlier to unlearn those old habits and embrace a more balanced, fulfilling life is key. Waiting until 70 isn’t necessary-begin today and give yourself the time to enjoy life without guilt. Your sister’s words are so wise-"you are a long time dead" really reminds us to make the most of the present. 😊

      How sad for you when life has so much to offer. Take a slow walk outside and really look at your surroundings....listen to the sounds around you. Find 3 things you value and be thankful for them. Graitude is an attitude.

      Thank you for sharing your perspective. It's a complex issue when dynamics shift within families. It's understandable to feel hurt when our children perceive us differently as they grow older. Let's continue this conversation and explore this topic further.
