The way Elijah gets into Francesca’s home by using legal loopholes to establish that she’s actually standing on public property is one of the coolest, but also most confusing scenes of the show.
Like, if a vampire takes over a land/housing development corporation which owns a lot of property, does that mean that they can then walk into thousands of peoples houses they couldn’t before because of that alone?
Witch magic is surprisingly respectful of US law. 😂

I don’t know if this was the case, but it feels like they weren’t sure what direction they wanted S2 to go on, or even if they’d get renewed, when they finished S1. So when it came to writing it, they realised that the werewolf plot wouldn’t work as intimidating, season long villains as much as Esther, so they decided to cut them loose right out of the gate.
Or maybe this was the plan all along, and the wait between seasons made people willing to accept the wolves could be killed off like that so easily as it does make for an impactful season opener.
Either way, it does feel odd how much they built them up at the tail end of last season only to yeet them out of the picture in the literal first episode. 😂
