I bought one, its an aluminum boat, nothing special. There is one thing that is different from the other major brands. The drain plug, the darn thing is not in the bottom. Its above the V and ¼” higher than that. Might not sound like a big deal until you try to rinse the mud a grime out. It is so aggravating that I wish I would have given $100 more for one of the others. Oh yea, the paint is awful to. Can almost be scratched with fingernails.
100% I have a lot of silt in the bottom by the drain. Agreed on the paint also, not sure if they used different paints from inside vs outside, but the outer paint holds up better than interior.
Much better than the old riveted models. Wish they still made the 1542
1542 would be a perfect combo. Definitely prefer this over riveted hull. Couple welds can easily be fixed.
They now make the 1542 grizzly. Unofficial but it's a 2025 model. Spotted them stocked in my local Bass Pro
