I like her helmet design quite a lot, some of the live action Mandolorians look goofy but hers is above average
The nice thing is that the helmet was probably made during the time Maul was in charge of the Mandolorians. That would explain why it has those spikes on top because Mauls Mandos designed their helmets to resemble Maul in color and form.
@@cavareenvius7886 So she was probably a Mauldalorian? That would be awesome for her character if they dive into that in the show.
It kind of reminds me of an Ancient Greece Corinthian helmet or maybe a spartan helmet
Sad you insult their "goofy armor," there's even one I saw with a stormtrooper armor leg, because they literally can barely get beskar for their armor, and most armor is only a beskar alloy (usually not with that much beskar) meaning it is significantly weaker.
@@Highest-Ground
I say goofy in the sense of improper proportions of the armour
For example Pax Vizla, whenever I see him on screen his head looks a bit too small compared to the rest of his body.
The Child’s helmet in the first episodes of this season look like that Hasbro clone trooper helmet from way back.
Some of it is just goofy
The helmet the Armorer made in this episode looks like they took a Hasbro helmet and spray painted it blue lol
It looks a lot like paz vizsla's helmet imo
It makes sense tho. We always see those immature looking mandalorian helmets for kids and now we know why lol
Its got the crazy large visor piece so they are used to it when they get an adult sized helmet
It corresponds with the type of group you will join within the cult
I guarantee you that's what it is I mean the lightsabers they use now are just hollywood-style Force FX lightsabers... Look at the Darth Vader vs Obi-Wan fight in Obi-Wan... It's so saturated with red and blue it looks like a fan film. I hate the fact that they use the light from the actual light bulb lighting up the fake lightsaber. I think they should use CGI on lightsabers like they did in the previous films.
I met her actress at Summercon. She is very petite. They make her seem a lot bigger on the show.
She plays as the darkness in supernatural too cool never knew that. Emily swallow is her name
@@rushpatriot2866oh thanks
There are hundreds of words you could have used, you went with that one
Probably the furs on her suit and some thick boots. Gives the character a larger frame overall
Really? She always looked short like me. Its kinda empowering to see someone roughly my height be this badass.
The living waters is key to making the armor. It's quenched in the living waters. If you watched the most recent episode you'd see that when she adds the living waters into that quench vat it glows as if it's being refreshed
It makes me wonder if she has a reserve of living waters. Like how has she been replenishing it all this time without traveling to mandalore?
@@oPurpleGorillao I believe that's what the vat is but to be redeemed he has to go to the Mines and go to the source.
That's just how they normally did it. She didn't have the living water when she made dins full armor.
@@oPurpleGorillao she doesn't. That's just a tradition to cleanse the armor or metal but it doesn't make it any better etc.
When Din brought her the Living Water, it was in a metal tube, the same kind that she used when she prepared her tank for quenching.
When she poured liquid from her tube, it had the same iridescence that it had when she poured Din's sample in the vat.
I wonder if her horns have anything to do with mauls short-rain on Mandalore
*reign
And they likely do, given the children of the watch are an offshoot of death watch, who were under maul's control while he was Mandalore
She's probably a mauldalorean
I believe she Rook Kast Mauls 2nd in charge above Gar Saxon
Darnell may be right about her. There is a theory that she's Rook Kast, and personally, this is my Headcanon.
She's probably a zabrak
"The only thing harder than beskar is the oath of a blacksmith, not to spill its secrets"
The Blacksmith not only forges their armour and weapons, she also forges their souls.
Funny how you pick the scene where the editors got her wrongly hammering a helmet that bends and fixes itself. 😂 That got me laughing lol
I do black smithing with a friend we specialize in helmet making and it's hard to explain how but that's one of the first steps to making a helmet like a mandalorians.
@@Greeks332 I am a master smith, I agree with you. Keep hammering brother!
@@angrymandalorian8496 master smith! Bro that's awesome I hope to someday reach your level. What kind of smithing do you do?
Funny that you don't know a goddamned thing about smithing but felt qualified to criticize the video maker about it. Tee hee stupid emoji face that got me laughing el oh el
how do they hammer the heads up display into it?
The Armorer is so badass.
I still believe she was a maulorian at some point, cause that’s like the only time we saw horns on mando helmets
You can see the moment Bo-Katan gains a new respect for Din's clan when she meets the armourer- most Mandalorians take the creed and become warriors, few exist in leadership roles like hers. The Armourer is the last of a dying breed of Mandos who truly know and carry the old ways, and Bo clearly is in awe when she meets her
Most mandalorians don’t believe the delusions of a cult, seriously this group tried to off Mando for removing his helmet they told him to go get killed by a lake monster. If Bo is in awe of them that’s just a sign of the show’s terrible writing that one minute she thinks they’re insane and next she believes they’re dumb superstitions.
I met the actress at comic con today.
@GodlyWither thanks
@@Volsigg your welcome
Yooo that’s sick !
@@arthur4128 thank you
I love this show, it's very clear that a lot of passion went into it
It's not Disney that gets it right. It's Dave Filoni.
I love the outfit and helmet a lot. Emily Swallow is a great actress.
"only mandalorian blacksmiths can melt beskar"
"The empire melted down all our beskar and turned it into ingots!"
Hm.
He did say “into a workable alloy”, it doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t just throw it all into a big furnace and get something decent enough to be cast into an ingot.
No, not the melting. Anyone can melt it at the right temperature - the forging is what is sacred and since she's the only one with the tools, moulds and knowledge, she's the only one that can make armour
There’s a reason why the empire didn’t use beskar for their elite troops. They didn’t know how to work that shit.
From the looks of it, it was incredibly useful for trade with planets and organizations not affiliated with the empire.
@@kittencadaver2744 The imperial ingots dont look like they were just poured into a mold given how sharp their edges are but if that is how thes were made then the empire could probably make armor the same way.
I F****** love the fact that shes so integral, she's literally spent her, and their entire lifetime being a symbol.
And knowing what she knows she's harder to kill than a tank.
The Mandalorian: I'm' literally the mandalorian you're still just the armorer you don't run S**t know you're place lol
Creating the armor is an amazing work of art.
Entering when they're changing it will reflect laser fire and Blaster fire. In the world that they live in armor is definitely a very useful item to own
From the iron age, to the space age, the blacksmith started it all.
Even in a galaxy far, far, away...
She needs an apprentice to train to pass on her skills to the next generation
Not train, indoctrinate, this is a cult afterall
She's likely already got one.
That should be the next series!!
I just love the scenes where she’s banging random sheet metal with a hammer and squelching random unfinished bits of material 🧠💀
Is Beskar an element or an alloy? The spear Mando got in S2 was "pure Beskar".
Beskar alloys are the reason why some mandos are one shoted while Din can just keep walking it off. The mines went dry so pure beskar is really hard to come by.
I hope that helps.
seems like its an element. we know of some mandalorians like bo katan and boba fett who have beskar alloy armor which isnt as strong as pure beskar. in fact, i think din is the only mandalorian we know of that has pure beskar armor.
As a blacksmith myself, I really enjoy this show
I think I know a little about how their armor can withstand lightsabers its the living waters of mandalor if you notice the armorer pours in a little before she starts forging and when it comes time to quench the armor piece baths in the living waters so it has something to do with the quenching process
I think that was just to show that mandalorian water from the caves reacts differently but also pure beaker without anything can deflect lightsabers and blaster bolts as in chapter 3 (the sin) karga gets shot by mando in the chest but his beskar in the pocket absorbs it
@Icy101yt your right and it interacts with the armor when the armor is quenched
@@sonic1135 still doesn’t explain why unrefined beskar deflected mandos laser bolt
@@icy101yt how pure was it?
@@sonic1135 the purity isn’t ever said but it’s from the same lot that mando got his full beskar armour
Grogu will hopefully become an Armourer. Would make sense as he can carry the tradition much further with centuries of wisdom as he gets older.
I think beskar might be used in some of the energy control components of massive weapons like the Death Star and Starkiller base, and that's why the Empire is trying to horde it as much as they can
If they could use it for technology like that they would not have made it currency
My favorite character.
Appreciate the Short, thanks.
The armorer is my favorite Mandalorian. 💖🔥
I just hope she don’t die because the best character’s always be dying
The armorer isn't even the leader she is more like the respected adviser who knows everything about the culture and is respected by everyone
It’s hard to get it wrong when they’re making it up as the story progresses.
There's alotta established lore from years ago that most star wars fans are comparing it to.
I lover her. A true warrior and leader
He’s stealing his life force, dude don’t even know he’s a vampire
I still can't get over the fact they literally said "parry this you casual" and used shotguns on jedi
She brings hammer and tongs into a gunfight... not just a gunfight actually, a battle.
“An armorer would rather die than give up their secrets”
Yeah and a jedi would rather die than kill younglings, it’s not hard to believe there’s an armorer who switched sides
The gate keeping is crazy
Lmao, the way the stormtrooper butts the head of a person in beskar armor, armor that can take blaster bolts with ease, while they are armed with only blasters.
She isn't a blacksmith, she is an Armorer, a warrior and the tribe's shaman, teacher and historian.
Blacksmiths make wheels, hinges, hooks and other common items, some are also farriers, and fewer still craft knives, but armor and the technology involved in it is a very specific skill.
Well after the new ep i think she's probs a traitor then because if only she could properly craft things out of beskar then how did Moff gets other armor made
My ears are in pain lmao
They did a good job on her character, as the Blacksmiths are supposed to be real bad asses.
That blacksmith lady would be what would have been a "Babaylan" in precolonial Philippine society; a wisewoman and functional matriarch of a tribe who knew its histories, its lore, and taught others the tribe's traditions. The Mandalorian probably isn't going for that exactly, but its nice to see some similarities.
Very cool thanks for sharing
She's not their leader. She's the armorer. Their leader is Bo Katan. The one who walks both ways. The true Mandalorian leader. The one who will unite all Mandalorians.
Bo Katan is a fraud lmao. She literally joined a terrorist organization to plot to overthrow her own sister, she fumbled and lost the darksaber twice, her own "forces" abandoned her multiple times, and she needed help just to rally everyone together under her lead.
She's a joke 😂😂😂
Great character
"They get the armorer right"
Meanwhile the armorer charges a 3 story 100 ft long alligator with tongs and a 5lb hammer.
Yeah. Man. Thats some good writing.
*this is the way*
I love the armorer
They also made a starfighter with beskar armor plating called the beslek
This is the way
She's an absolute bad ass
The armourer was one of the members of death watch that joined darth maul. That's why she has horns on her helmet.
False. Mauls reign happened while Din was a boy/teen armorer was already around with the horns.
She reminds me of apolyon from for honor so she’s my favorite and she has been my favorite ever said she first appeared
I love the armourer
I love it when fictional stories have their facts right 👍
The secret is tin...it's always tin
I wouldn't mind a backstory of the armourer
sounds like fanatics
She is one of my favorite supporting characters now! Does she have a name beyond The Armorer?
And just as I thought the armored couldn’t get any cooler
The mandolorian is the best thing Disney have done for star wars. My favourite show in years.
I’ve thought of a wonderful idea where a mandalorian blacksmith gets stranded on a dark side nexus planet and must use their crafting skills to survive. Through this time, they find out they are force sensitive when they realize that the world they are on somehow makes them move faster, be stronger and fight with greater ferocity they never knew themselves capable of. As a black smith, they decide to capitalize on this, study and investigate further this new power they acquired, creating better weapons and armor to thrive on this dark world. When another ship, after a few years, shows up to the planet, that’s when the black smith escapes. Studying all the could tangibly assess from the force of that planet, they go across the galaxy, finding more knowledge on the force they could find, till eventually they’ve compiled enough information to build and train upon, becoming what I like to call the Dark Mandolorian, the Beskar Butcher!
Are you sure it's not the evil kathleen kennedy in disguise
I am the way.
~ KK
It makes you wonder how hot it has to be to heat beskar and how the container can handle the heat even more
Mandalorian is the only thing saving star wars right now
And barely.
When you don't give up secrets like that no enemy can mass produce weapons against you. Weapons you alone could possess
I think you gotta have the Mine water to quench it.
Still mourning the beskar spear
She turned that ish into some chainmail and weapons 😂
Wish they it design it better put engravings and stuff.
Ahh yes her ultimate smithing skills of not cleaning any of the metal before melting it down, and melting it instead of forging it so the magic alloy is ruined right from the start.
I don't think its about how thick or thin the material is, I believe its about the purity of the vescar
Yo. Can u do a video on clan skirata and teach these disney fans some true star wars mando'ade?
This is probably important because who would’ve told Moff how to make the armor
The thing about Beskar is that while anyone can melt and work the metal, only mandalorians knows how to forge in the proper and particular way to make it indestructible. So while Gideon and his troops had on beskar, it was an improperly worked variant, which is why alot of them gotten one shotted
You say she's an actual blacksmith but she's holding that hammer wrong
It’s not traditional metal….
To be fair though mandolorian, book fo boba Fett, and the other newer star wars series are directed and created by Dave filoni, and Jon favreau, and George Lucas played a part in early mandolorian(not sure if he's still on or not) so it would stand to reason that these series are better the the Disney movies
She's also the last follower of Maul
Hope she has an apprentice, to ensure that esoteric smithing knowledge continues beyond her time.
I think she sees how important grogu can be for them that's why she crafted more armor for him 🤔 imagine he learns her secrets for crafting that's knowledge they'll have for Hundreds of years safe with grogu
She can even make hasbro helmets
What the don’t get right is they went in to secrecy and scattered across the Galaxy. Way more then 42 are still kicking 😂
Bro nobody's talking about who made Gideon's armor
It's not Disney it's Dave Filoni and John Favreau's writing.
Shilloni. He never cared about canon continuity.
I get blacksmith but how does she add the technology and everything in them?
One thing I don’t get about Disney is how they killed the grand inquisitor twice. Like in rebels they killed him off and in Kenobi they just killed him off again which I was not expecting watching it because I thought he was going to be around for rebels bUt i GuEsS dIsNeY hAd OtHeR pLaNs
The stormtroopers literally just stood there and waited to get hit. This show should've ended at season 2
I wanna know if it would be possible to add a cortosis weave to the metal. I know it's lightsaber resistant, what with being beskar, but cortosis would increase that
…rather die than …Then how did Moff Gideon and his troops acquire all that beskar armor?
The Empire already stripmined Mandalore of most of its beskar so theres no surprise where the stockpile came from. As for how Gideon and his troops are wearing armor, they simply forged it. Anyone can work and forge beskar into crude weapons and armor, but its durability and quality is pathetic compared to when true mandalorian blacksmiths do it. Only they know how to make it as indestructible as it famously is. Gideon's troops were getting one shotted so thats proof that their beskar armor was inferior to the actual Mandalorians
She is a spy
I think you meant “Blacksmith Lady”
Sounds a lot like Dwarves, one of the reasons why I admire their culture to a certain degree.
Now the only question is who made the beskar stormtrooper armor
She literally uses the wrong hammer in that first scene
Well yes but, it’s not traditional metal like how we know it
So does that mean Gideon had a secret Mandalorian Armorer of his own? Who smithed his suit?
They all had fear shoot through them, when the most badass knight you have backs out it's clear they might lose.
She's The Darkness in Supernatural...
It’s very interesting. How in the show they distinguish between bescar and it’s workable form. I’m sure the imperial scientist can figure it out, but they want a usable material rather than its raw form
I always accidentally call her "The priest" instead of "The Armorer" both because that's kinda what she is and I think it sounds way cooler
Jon Favreau got the armored right; Disney would have messed her up
Looks like part of the secret is using “the living waters” in the process.
Nope cause she didn't use them when she made dins full armor set.
Interesting
As a trainee blacksmith the speed of her hammer swings are next level slow.
