Nice setup! I recently started a small reading/movies/other media journal. I don’t read as much as to be able to dedicate a whole book to the five star books. So I’ll fill it up with other media too. With that said, I’ve read The Three Musketeers and it’s indeed a wonderful book to be read again and again. My own favourite book however, is Momo by Michael Ende.
That is awesome! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! Yes I don't anticipate this journal getting filled anytime soon, but someday it'll be a gem to have. I have never heard of Momo... I'll have to check it out!
@ I think you’ll love Momo. It’s framed as a children’s book but it is from the author of Neverending story. So it’s a ”children’s” book that should be read as an adult, or be read to from an adult.
To me if a book earns 5 stars, it keeps 5 stars. You can never capture the same experience on a reread. Whatever was going on in my life and/or what headspace I was in at the time is as much a factor of the enjoyment of that story as the book itself. It would be disloyal to the memory of that experience and my identity as a reader, in my opinion, to demand further proof.
That's wonderful :) There are definitely books that I wish I could read for the first time again! I know that for me when I re-read a book I love, I get more from it every time... things I may have missed the previous time. Isn't reading just a fun thing that we get to enjoy in our own ways 😊😊
