Your instructions / thought processes are so helpful & easy to follow. Truly helping me become an immensely greater guitarist than I ever thought I could be. Thank you and keep up the good work brother
Dude your tutorials are by the far the best on the web! Strange request but I'm a a avid dmb super fan I would love it I'd you did "do you remember" it's seems very basic chords but Dave makes it sound so awesome. I'm tryin to cross that bridge from beginner to intermediate and I struggle with technique Still in the over thinking phase of my playing. All I learn from is Dave songs
Phil Moore man, i really appreciate it! You are exactly where i was 10 years ago. I wanted to learn every dave Matthews Band song ever written. Just watch these vids I’m posting and be patient. Patience is the key with all of his stuff. I’m working on do you remember as we speak, hope to have it up soon! Keep jamming on man!
Two step as the the last song at “live at Luther” with Tim Reynolds is unbelievable, 1994 I think. And the 3rd or 4th from the 1995 red rocks. Just epic and you did a magnificent job. Have you done a tutorial on “best of what’s around”
Any tips on playing the A string cleanly in the intro shapes? With my ring finger on E at the 10th fret, my fat finger is muting the A string with index on the 8th fret.
Thanks as always, Rick Masters. No, i got hang to out and jam with Tim Reynolds at a local venue a few years back and he signed it. It was one of coolest experiences of my life.
Your chords are spot on but your rhythm is bad. Yes, it’s on the “and” of each beat, but you’re adding an unnecessary stroke(beat) when you’re changing chords...so in essence it’s placing you on the down beat if you were playing along to a metronome
Terrance Pounds thanks. Don’t know that my rhythm is ‘bad’...I mean, I’ve seen some pretty awful versions of this song on UA-cam, I may not be perfect but ‘bad’ seems like a bit much...always appreciate advice either way.
@@carsonmac I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone thinks they're Eddie Van Halen watching youtube videos but until they upload their own videos they're just armchair quarterbacks.
@@carsonmac I don't think he understands that slowing down everything for a lesson is not easy. The rhythm is taught and learned in real time. Slowing it down is not as smooth
I’m 5 years too late on this one- great lesson, probably my favorite DMB song.

Thank you, Robert! Glad I could help! 🙏🏻
That driving rhythm pattern 🥰🥰🥰
Very fun song. And great to practice strumming patterns with and mess around
Definitely!
You do a wonderful job on all your videos. Extremely helpful and easy to understand.
Thank Ryan! That’s my goal 🤘
Thank you for all your video tutorials! this is such a happy beat that i can only dream of learning. theres hope, thanks to you !
The strumming is the hard part on this song. You need to build up the endurance and work at the pattern until it comes from the heart and not the head

Good job bro... I’m going to watch this until I get it
Thanks John! Definitely not an easy one, but be patient and you’ll get it 🤘
Great lesson man 🤙
great tutorial! subscribed... thank you sir
Thank you!
Carson! Where have the love chats been?? What model Martin are you playing? How's the bakery going?

try using the middle finger for the E string and the pointer for the A string
Can u do drunken soldier...no ones taught it on u tube yet?
Sound right to me
Does Dave play easy chords
No lol
Haha! I’d say he’s gotten more into simple chords over the last decade but before that there’s not many easy chords 😂
Another great lesson!.. Is this guitar signed by Dave?
Thanks as always, Rick Masters. No, i got hang to out and jam with Tim Reynolds at a local venue a few years back and he signed it. It was one of coolest experiences of my life.
@@carsonmac got to jam with Timmy? What did you play together?
wow. what dreams are made of. Dave is next !
Man, that guitar sounds great, too bad they don't make them anymore. What gauge/brand strings you have on that?
S B I use the standard elixir nanoweb strings...they give a great ‘twang’ for sure
What model Martin is that?
Geoff Warholak 000C-16RGTE or similar.
If I step away from this song for more than 2 days I’ll never learn it and my fingers hate me
Either my guitar is shit or this isn’t standard tuning
Haha! Check your guitar man 😂
Lol likewise it’s my guitar lol dammit I love this song
rhythm is off. Right chords tho!
Agreed. I want to redo this sometime but hopefully this gets you in the right track!

Carson Mac far from bad my guy

Such an unnecessary comment on someone providing an excellent tutorial on a difficult song.
