    Another informative video. Bruce explains the studding well and from the last several videos I can tell he is a wealth of knowledge. I will definitely be hitting him up next year for new sled even though I'm in Pennsylvania.

    Best tip in this video is studding every other bar to help with rear end sliding. Bruce's description is exactly how I like the back end. Gonna possibly change the pattern for my black 850 XCR 136.

      That was news to be but after thinking about it, it REALLY makes sense. If you go sideways you only have half the studs biting. Hes a smart man!

      How do you do every other bar if you have an odd number of bars. Example 129 2.86 pitch is 45 bars.

    I was thinking of a project Bruce can do! Turn a 155 matryx slash boost into a killer 136 inch trail sled!! The 146 would have been better but there's no turbo! We need a 200 HP two stroke trail sled!!👍👍

    I just stumbled on the dealership one day driving around for work ( I’m actually from Connecticut). It’s a great place with a great group of guys working there. They gave me a little tour of the vintage sled collection out back, which was incredible. I’m brand new to snowmobiles and just got my first sled last spring. Is there anyone I could speak to about getting it studded up?

    Great videos! Love 'm. On my 2023 VR1 129" with Cobra 1.350 track Bruce SR recommends the Woody's 1.450 stud. Woody's website recommends 1325 stud (Woody's part # not stud length). From Woody's web site:
    "Camso's Cobra track has a unique lug design with ‘traction teeth’ that protrude about 0.100" above the lug. Available to stud are 2 lug heights: 1.352" (1.250" w/o traction teeth) & 1.600" (1.500" w/o traction teeth). On this track, Woody's recommends 3/8" max stud penetration above the most prominent lug height. With that, the 1.352" Cobra should take a 1325 series stud, and the 1.600" Cobra, a 1575 series stud. Keep in mind, the stud series is NOT the overall length" Comments/concerns?

    • @JESSEJAMES322
      @JESSEJAMES322  Рік тому +1

      1.45 is what we all run on our 1.35. Gives us a little more penetration. technically the 1.35 is mostly a 1.25. Woodys puts the black and white info on the website but in reality you can go a little longer!

    I was wondering what you guys think of pullouts on these new 1 ply Tracks? Does Bruce do a lot of heat exchangers or repairs due to studs flying out? They honestly make me Leary....

    • @youareright5431

    • @JESSEJAMES322
      @JESSEJAMES322  2 роки тому +1

      No he doesnt. Woodys actually has larger stud backers for 1 ply tracks. All trail tracks from polaris ( and i believe every track that comes factory on a sled) is 2 ply. But again they make bigger backers and the base of the stud is also larger

    Hey Jesse, my buddy has a 22 850 VR1, idle keeps hanging high on it, won't let it go into reverse, sometimes takes 30 secs to come down. Have you or Bruce seen this? Been to dealer twice with no luck.

    I never ran studs in any of my sleds never really had a issue. Plus alway had a fear of ripping studs out or hitting heat exchanger.

    I have an ice ripper (factory polaris) on 2020 xcr. So it is a 2 ply ice ripper... It has 102 Woody's trigger 1.45. I am worried they are a bit tall being a 1.25 track. But the track also has the" ice ripper studs sticking 1/8th out on top of the 1.25 lug. Should I be worried the trigger studs are 1/2" over?

    For anyone is=n the comments wondering, as I did: The Series number, like 1325, is 1.325" long from the tip to the backing plate. Hence the weird numbers... Series number + backing plate thickness = lug height + ~3/8"
