Hey Bordeaux, someone already posted this under another video on your other channel, but I wanna repost here too. I think, as a send off to the greatest coach of all time’s career, you should do the Nick Saban Challenge. Using Alabama, you have to get 7 national championships, 9 conference Titles, 4 Heisman winners, a winning record against Auburn, Tennessee, and LSU, and you have his career of 17 years to do it all. If that's not enough you could try for 76 First Team All Americans, sign a top 5 recruit class 16 of 17 years just like he did or have 44 1st round draft picks. On Heisman of course.

Gem/Bust talks about the recruits dev trait, not overall/stats... For Example, a 3 star gem might have star dev, while a 4 star bust only has normal dev, their ratings are still the same though.
The dev traits are part of it, but a five star gem has a better overall than a five star bust 90% of the time.
Edit: athlete scramblers are broken rn and all the three star busts can be better than 5 star fields generals
well like you just said, a 3 star gem would have the same stats as a 4 star bust so ratings are still a part of it. I'm pretty sure development traits are mostly random since theres a perk to reveal them on visits although busts might only get normal dev

@@elitetv1735 idk where you're getting that info from, EA themselves said a 3 star gem is equivalent to a 4 star and a 5 star bust is still as good as a 4 star in terms of ratings. And there wouldn't be much value to scouting the development trait on visits with the perk that unlocks it, if all gem prospects have star development.

@@araceli-j8i the EA dynasty deep dive says the opposite. They said a 5 star bust is equivalent to a 3 star gem and vice versa. There's nothing about development traits, aside from that you can reveal them early on visits with a perk, so where are you getting this info from?

@@clintdodson5785 big if true, i get a lot of gems but I haven't really tracked who ends up with good development traits. It would make 4 star gems more valuable than 5 star busts pretty much 100% of the time, so thats good to keep in mind.

You can get an insta-commit anytime that you're first on a players list and you offer him. I believe the other insta-commit trait that you unlock can give you the ability to make a guy commit when you're not even first on their list. agile athletes aren’t always OL. When you see an Agile ATH and he has higher end speed often times they can be very very good on the DL. I had an Agile ATH come in as an 80 ovr DT. Just because they don’t have good blocking stats if it’s a ATH Gem and I see at least 2 stats I like they are almost always guaranteed to be very nice somewhere on the field.

Your next rebuild should have the recruiting restriction where you can only have them if they have interest in your school
Whenever your passing on revamped accuracy try and get it inside the yellow you will get a more accurate and harder pass not making it to yellow will lob the ball and not as good of accuracy just a heads up
Hey Bordeaux, you should try recruiting the “better” busts and “worse” gems to see if the gems at least have a better dev trait. That could be the reason why they are a gem, otherwise I’m just as confused as you are 🤷🏻♂️

I believe that busts and gems refers to either the dev trait or abilities rather than the actual stats

Bordeaux, if you want your passes to be more accurate, set the pass type to placement and accuracy, the pass lead increase to small, and the reticle speed to 16. That’ll help you get those back shoulder passes and beat those corner routes, and you can place the ball where you need it to be.

Gems vs busts I think is a dev thing. The busts are rated what they are rating in the class based off their stats. They probably won’t improve much if at all from where they are. Where gems will get better as it goes on

In my experience the gem players have nothing to do with individual ratings (maybe it affects their overall rating), I think it affects their Dev Trait. For example, a gem player is more likely to be an impact, star, or elite dev while a bust player is more likely to be a normal dev player. Some gems are low dev and some busts are high dev, but those are exceptions to the rule I think. A bust may be a better player than a gem as a freshman but will certainly be worse by their senior years.

How do you make the players play 2 ways Bordeaux?
Is it possible that scouting shows what the recruits stats are as their star that is represented? So if they were a 3 star gem you would be seeing 3 star stats and not the 4 star stats. I think it would be cool if that was the case that when the gem popped up it would show the +/- to those stats for them being a gem. I'm also a big advocate of seeing the stat increases at the end of the season like it used to have like (+4) or whatever to the side of each stat.

gems matter more on a Dev trait scale, a gem 3 star can have impact (the highest dev) and be able to develop into those game breaking/record holders for your program, 4 star busted gems are 79-80 but that is all they will get too bc they have a normal dev and no room for improvement.

I heard that the bust and gem system has more to do with their development trait rather then their stats. So maybe getting some medium stats with high development is better than good stats with low development.

Pretty sure gem just means they have an impact or higher dev trait. Every bust I’ve signed has normal and most gems have star or higher
