Hulk is a “ middle of the road character “?!?! Hot take. I’d say he’s a top-tier level flagship marvel character easily
He doesn't get the great writers and artist teams he deserves
Yeah I agree. Unfortunately Marvel doesn't seem to care as much outside the comics these days, otherwise we'd have more to talk about.
We really need new Hulk games or shows or films cus Nowadays it's all about what's relevant and a lot of people don't seem to know or care about Hulk as a character anymore which is sad.
Without him Marvel wouldn't be as big a household name as it is today.
Also Leader is probably one of Hulk's greatest/classic Villains. He's like the Joker to Banner's Batman or the Green Goblin to his Spider-Man, Hulk has an extensive Rogues gallery that is as big and almost as iconic as Spider-Man's.
Like I said, most people just aren't aware of a lot of Hulk's stories/characters.
I would definitely recommend most of his runs by Peter David and Paul Jenkins along with the modern and current stuff by Greg Pak, Al Ewing and Phillip Kennedy Johnson.

One thing i think marvel did right with Rufflo’s hulk, was they made him very much like the classic Kirby Golem; big mass, little definition, horror-themed brute

Hulk’s great the marvel film Incredible Hulk was his pinnacle he was also great in avengers but than fell off due to poorly written plot and dialogue and of course, development the MCU really ruined him like thousands say.
