The upper screw holding the gear set in place is screwed in place from the opposite direction and easily accessible. Open the sunroof and look towards where the opposite side of the motor would be and you'll see it. You may have to manually push the deflector around depending on your angle of view. I removed mine, packed some grease inside and cycled the gears around. I then made a "gasket" out of duct tape and applied it to the face of the motor , between the motor and gear set, to help insulate vibration. I no longer hear the motor above the sound of ambient noise while driving.

Are there fuses that are associated with those two motors that may have to be changed?

Where is the sunroof control module located i can find it?
Can you just leave it out and not replace it.
I guess you can but it will show a code that there is an issue .
