This was beautiful! I am glad to know the McLendon personally. I was a member of a church in Georgia when Elder Goldwire aka Pop McLendon, and Sister Ruth pastored the church. Him playing the trombone, sister Ruth on the organ, Tony on bass, Laurone on the drums. People love to hear them sing Sunshine follows rain! Pop finally received the honor do to him❤
Forget the Huxtables...the McLendons are the ideal family standard! The genuine love and adoration they have for one another is so beautiful. Thank God for raising up a standard for holiness and righteousness. May God's blessings and favor continue to rest upon each of you.
Always grateful for the Huxtables and the great representation of a black family on tv. Much love to the McLendons and other families like them throughout Black America. They remind me of my church family and my great grandfather who was a Reverend/Elder her in the south. 🤎
