I'm a bit hesitant to agree with you, since ZYL was probably chosen for his popularity. The fact that he's sung other OSTs does not mean he's a great singer or such. I can agree with his superb acting skills or musicality, but he lacks the vocal skills that singers should possess, though his tone might be alright. He's extremely talented, but his talents lie elsewhere. I went ahead and listened to your "evidence" and I've noticed a bit of improvement, but I don't think it's at the necessary threshold for such an event, which only means it was because he's a hot topic right now. His voice is nice, but technique-wise, I don't believe he's received much training.
