I don't think you know what Netflix and chill is. it's actually a social event. the man in the song's story is alone, "lonely boy" "sits at home with no one around". also whether it works as a dance song, maybe the irony helps? I don't take the words literally when I listen to music anyway so it doesn't phase me.
