I know Jin takes work to learn, I play him myself, but the "He's the main character" excuse for how good he is just doesn't work. Shouldn't the main character be the one that introduces you, allowing you to move on once you've learned the basics, not be the better option from the very beginning?

@@Merumya down 2 is launch punishable on block but it's still a really good move, I personally prefer to use his down back 4 and down 4 anyway since those lows aren't launch punishable and are less reactable. Jin is still very strong in Tekken 8 and they did make him easier to play compared to most Tekken games (aside from Tekken 3) but he's not the best character in the game; I still think that Dragunov, Nina, Feng, Alisa, Xiaoyu and King are better than him imo.

Took TMM a while to finally see what some people have been saying about Jin from the start. He downplayed him really hard for the first few months of the game.
How fast is it? Isn't it like 22 frames or so, which is basically considered as "unseenable" by many pro/high level players, it's easy to say lab guys, but not everyone has the same reaction time you have, for example I can react to it sometimes if I'm really focused, but Jin has too many bs to worry about, I rather eat the low and beat him with basic fundamentals(Sidestep, punishment).
@@SGHNTZ It's called practicing your reaction times by dealing with the move over and over again in practice mode. Go into practice mode have the computer use a certain move that you're struggling with over and over and practice your reaction time. You can do it too.
@@MonkeyDCaleb You can find clues in the animation to help reacting easier to a certain move, but recognizing a move and reacting to it in time is NOT the same thing, you always see stuff before you react to it, and yes you can train your reaction time, but doing the same thing over and over won't necessarily help.
