    Nice video! I was taught to lock the trailer brakes and let the truck walk to the trailer

      Sorry for late reply.. but everyone has their teachings.. but I find when truck walk to trailer most of material don't come out and will push truck and trailer fowards.. so walking trailer to truck all material comes out fine.. plus I deliver to ready mix companies and all their grounds are either concrete or very leveled hard surfaces.. been doing it for years never tip trailer.. but do as you are taught.. give a thumbs up if you walk truck to trailer and it pushes your truck when dumping and if it don't you still have to pull foward to allow material out trailer so the trailer still moves while In air..

    Great video, I pull a 30’ aluminum 3 axle end dump, and iron demo trailers, I was bouta say that I dump truck bags when I dump till I seen you go do it, our aluminum trailers have a plunger which dumps trailer bags and opens gate latches, but I still go check when I dump every load bc I’ve seen those plungers stick more than once lol, and definitely make sure ground is good going up, like you said, can’t stress it enough, in my 18 years I’ve laid an old demo trailer over years ago lol

    What if my truck doesn't have an airbag dump switch for the truck tandems? Is it ok to dump with just the trailer bags dropped?

    In a dump trailer guy almost 20 years I see a lot of these how-to videos where these guys put the trailer all the way up to the sky before they start rolling forward and they have material bunched up at the bottom of their trailer whereas I usually release the trailer brakes as the trailer still going up and material is dumping out pushing me forward I would never let material Bunch up behind me like that

    With the trailer you have, carry oak wood blocks to level trailer when uneven, where the arm hits the spring to keep the trl level.

    Haul by the ton. Only one way per material. That buildup the front of the trailer is a big mistake that can end your career while you are laying on the left or right of the truck, try trying to climb up and out the new sunroof in your door

    always let your truck walk back to the trailer.

    Not a good idea to get out of truck while trailer is going up. To many things can happen and you're not by the controls in cab

    I do that as well.. but on flat and even surfaces I let the trailer walk to the truck.

    You forgot to mention to look up for overhead wires or obstacles.

    Let trailer roll until you front axle clears the ground that way I’d does not dig holes in the ground that you would eventually pull into as you dump especially if you are dumping on loose ground or dirt

    I would been like fuck !! Thats atleast 2/3 tons of material in someones front property 😂

    Let’s say how much they pay per ton in your area?

    • @MrEthelius
      @MrEthelius  9 місяців тому

      That's a variable and depends on the customer and what type of material you're hauling.. this price list is not set for a certain rate

    • @MrEthelius
      @MrEthelius  9 місяців тому

      For example from porter to conroe tx is about 30 miles (estimated) one company will pay 6 dollars a ton another will pay 7.50 a ton
